Plexamp not updating downloaded Smart Playlists

I have created a few Smart Playlists that increase/decrease depending on the ratings given to tracks.

None of them are longer than 24 hours.

I have downloaded them to both my android phone and iPad without a problem.

However, when I amend a track rating and the playlist increases or decreases on my PMS this is not reflected within the downloaded playlists in Plexamp.

I have tried a manual refresh within Plexamp but while this goes through checking the playlists no additions are made to them.

Should this work or does Plexamp treat smart playlists as static ones?

Best Wishes

Geoff

You should be able to long press the playlist that is downloaded and then choose refresh.

I just did this to mine and it did not update the downloaded playlist. I havent done this for a while, but it did use to work.

One downloaded playlist i emptied and PMS recognizes it, but in my downloads in Plexamp the songs are still there. So, it isn’t just you.

Have a read through this…

I just tried long press refresh and it did not update the downloaded smart playlist. Something is up with it.

I hadn’t noticed the long press refresh but when I tried it it did work.

This is something I suppose but not as convenient as them updating from one command. It is a pain having to update each playlist individually.

I’ve noticed the only one that does truly refresh is the one that has hit the 24 hour limit. Presumably it swaps some files and others out?

It’s the ones less than the 24 hours that don’t refresh despite other songs now added.

This morning after PMS went through all its work overnight one of my smart playlists updated. I listened to all of them yesterday and this morning 7 new songs showed up.

Also the info in the download list doesn’t update the same either. Still shows how big the file was and how long it was when it had the 20 songs in it.

But the Fresh  playlist still wasn’t updating. Downloads still has 266 songs when on PMS it was up to 302. That list was still under the 24 hr limit at 302.

Its not a super big deal, but it isn’t working for me lime it used to for some reason.

I have the asme issue on Android. I can manually delete the playlist and redownload it but that doesn’t seem to be so smart… any other solutions?
