Individual Downloaded Playlist Refresh Button?

Plexamp v4.4

If I remember correctly, there used to 3 dots next to each downloaded playlist that allowed the ability to refresh the item individually. I cannot seem to locate that ability to do this any longer.

Most of these smart playlists use the “randomly” variable so each time you enter the playlist on the server, its contents are randomly reloaded. When I download this playlist into Plexamp and launch Plexamp, this playlist it typically skipped over during the all download refresh execution. When the 3 dots were there, I could refresh the playlist and every track would be replaced randomly based on the criteria of the playlist. Now I cannot seem to find the way to do that again :frowning:

Can you help?

Press and hold.

That worked, thanks. But that raises another question. When I refresh all, it spins the playlist and moves on without acting on it. If I refresh the playlist individually, it replaces the tracks as expected. Why isn’t the refresh all command doing the same as refresh individually?

it’s by design, the refresh all is run on startup, and we don’t want force refreshing all playlists every time.

I apologize for being a blockhead but I am not comprehending your statement. when I launch Plexamp from being closed should the refresh at startup function touch EVERY downloaded playlist, smart or simple?

It’ll touch the ones which have sort criteria so it’s not a random sample. Downloads which are random samples (smart playlists w/o sort criteria), radios, won’t be refreshed.

Thanks for the clarification, I hope I understand this right. If I have a smart playlist that is assembled by the random variable, it will not be part of the refresh all function, correct? If I go in a submarine  and play 23 of the 50 tracks in the smart playlist that is assembled by the random variable, when I return to an internet connection and open Plexamp from a closed state, the refresh all function will fire, but will skip the playlist despite the fact that at least 23 songs need replacing since they no longer agree with the rules governing the smart playlist, is that correct?

Side question, is refreshing the downloads governed by the Network Speed variable?

Thanks for a great app and presentation during the 2022 pro week. Will Multi-room audio be supported by any device supported by Plexamp, like hopefully the iphone with the JBL speaker?

Correct.

If they were initially obtained by a random sample, you’ll need to manually refresh to indicate you want a new sample.

If it’s sorted by e.g. rating, then it’ll update automatically for any new criteria.

Sorry, no. Only for headless Plexamp and anything which takes audio input (via USB, SPDIF, audio jack, or whatever).
