Yeah I’ve had tons of issues with Plex app and playing back audio in my car. Not sending track info on the first song until skipping to the next, not responding to car controls as well on that first track, not recognizing disconnect and pausing and instead blaring music from my phone speakers, etc. (I’ve detailed it in other posts).
Plexamp is definitely better, but still has some issues. Still suffers from not being able to resume after pausing for what seems longer than a few seconds, from the car controls. You have to get your phone out and manually resume from the app or notification, which is technically a no-no in many places where you aren’t supposed to touch your phone while driving.
I too would like to upvote PlexAmp on Android Auto. I have been using PlexAmp in the car currently and it is amazing. Being able to use it through Android Auto would be amazing.
The app is great and looks promising.
It could also be great could be to be able to choose it in Google Maps on Android as a music player while navigating. It’s really nice to be able to have it fully integrated (don’t know if it’s possible with react native though).

Haven’t they already said/confirmed they are doing this? Is there really anything to vote on?

Count me in on voting for Android Auto and Google Home integration as well. Being able to select this as a music provider would allow me to truly become my own Spotify…which is my entire aim for my music collection.
