Plexamp on Linux - No desktop notifications

I don’t receive desktop notifications when a track is played in Plexamp. I’m running Manjaro Linux with LXDE as my desktop environment. “Send notifications” is enabled under Settings > Appearance. I’m not sure if “Push Notifications” needs to be enabled in my Plex server settings, but it is enabled (afaik, that is for notifications of new content, like a new episode of a show, in your library).

Do desktop notifications work for anyone else running Plexamp in Linux?
