I am relatively new to Plex, having used Logitech Media Server (LMS) for years with the Chromecast Bridge (CB) plugin. I am noticing a similar irritating problem-- using PlexAmp together with Chromecast-- which I finally solved with LMS / CB:
When I play a playlist on my Android device, the playlist reliably advances to the next track. But when I use Chromecast (to individual speakers or to speaker groups), playing stops after each track.
I am wondering if the cause is similar to my previous experience: I solved it with LMS / CB by using a CB option where CB sends out each successive track as part of a continuous stream rather than as individual tracks. This immediately solved the problem.
I’m guessing that the Chromecast protocol has timing issues when presented with individual tracks. (But what do I know?)
Is there a solution to my problem with PlexAmp casting to my various Google Assistant speakers? Is there a way to channel the playlist as one continuous stream?
