Sorry to complain, but using either the web app or Plex Amp, it shows the incorrect album year , even though it is set correctly.
could you please take a look?
Correct - Server (looking at the album)
Wrong - Plexamp showing 2024
Media Info -
Use the tag DATE. Not “recorded date”, not “Original date”.
It must have the same content for all tracks on an album, AFAIR. Check the other tracks of that album. See if the date is either missing or has a deviant content.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.
I’ve done a lot of reading, and I believe its an issue with the PlexAmp Application.
The files are correctly tagged, and every other application I use gets the correct year.
but PlexAmp doesn’t…
here is a screenshot showing the web player with the correct year, and PlexAmp with the wrong year.
I’ve gone through the process of re-tagging a crap ton of music, but PlexAmp still isn’t right, but other applications are.
What kind of file format is this?
Are there embedded metatags within those files? If so, please show all of them.
Which metadata agent is set for your library? (edit the library, go to the Advanced tab to find out)
Is your library set to use the embedded meta tags preferably?
