Plexamp - refresh button on home screen for certain pinned items

On my Plexamp (desktop) home screen I have a pinned album collection. This is a randomly sorted collection with a couple of simple filters. I have it pinned as a carousel. Currently how it works is:

  • Home screen shows the first N albums in the carousel where N depends on how wide I make the window
  • If I click through to the collection itself, the random order is different to what is currently on the home screen (I think because the act of opening it refreshes the order)
  • Going back to home, then back to view the collection refreshes the random order each time in the collection view
  • Carousel on home screen does not update the albums (random sort order) when I view the collection and come back to home, or go to any other view and back to home
  • The only way, afaik, to update the order shown on the home screen is to close and re-open Plexamp

My request is to add a small refresh button next to the collection name that would perform the same refresh action that happens when I click through to the collection. Like this:

I’m using a randomly sorted album collection as an example, but I think this would be useful for various other pinned items as well. Basically just force the client to refresh certain information in the same way it does when I click though, without having to restart the application. Maybe even the entire home screen itself could a refresh button that would force it to refresh and show any changes that have been made while Plexamp is open, as well as refreshing random sorts . I realise that closing and reopening Plexamp is literally only one extra click/keystroke anyway, but I think this would be a nice little addition to the Plexamp home screen.

I hope this makes sense

EDIT: I have the same collection pinned on my Plexamp Android home screen, and even though on Android I can pull down to refresh (not sure what it refreshes), it doesn’t refresh the pinned collection carousel. So this request does apply to both desktop and mobile.
