PlexConnect not continue playing file after break

I have the issue, that files play very well until i pause it for a while. After resuming it will result in a buffering endless loop.
Is there a solution on it?

Same here, almost. After pausing a while it plays for a few minutes and then crashes back to the media screen :frowning:

The endless buffering seems to be something else. A lot of people tried to debug, but as far as I know, there is no overall solution.

This has been on my mind to post about this for a bit. As far as I remember this didn’t happen a few months ago. I will try to roll back a number of commits and see if it doesn’t happen anymore to narrow it down if possible…

I’ve never seen this problem with DirectPlay, even with the latest PMS and PlexConnect versions. I can stop a film and continue next day, I can pause a film and continue play some minutes later, but of course this is not a thorough test.

The problem persists.

Exit out of Trailers.app, and then go back in to the media you were watching. That’s how I deal with it. If you are watching an episodic TV show, it should proceed to the next episode of the season/whole show automatically, that’s how its intended to be run. But if you pause longer than 10 minutes and the ATV goes into sleep node, the trailers app will shut off and it has to be started. If its less than 5 minutes, it should resume no problem. Tell your ATV to sleep after 1 hour, that will help

My ATV was set to one hour. This behavior was not always so. I think the error has crept into the last updates from Plexconnect. But that does not bother anyone here :frowning:
