My only guess is that it’s a different - character. In any event, it’s not a Plexamp issue per se, unless you’re finding the results are different in another Plex app.
It’s definitely an issue specific to the Limited Search Preview Pane because it does not even display the Top 3 results of the next Plexamp search page with expanded full results.
Test searches on other devices and Plex players that default to all search results initially, and not a preview of results, does indeed show the correct match to 1992-12-12 that exists as the Top Result.
I just think the Plexamp scope of limited search returns on the preview pane is not accurate even to itself once expanded.
The new unified search stuff is a totally different approach, I can understand why it might return different results. Please check on those characters, because the results Plexamp is displaying come directly from the server.
Understood about character checking… But Plexamp makes the match in search as displayed on the full results pane (image 2) Why doesn’t it just grab those Top 3 results, which included the match, for the 3 results it chose to display in the previous, smaller search pane (image 1)? I’m failing to see how a character difference might affect one search pane and not another search pane, within the same referenced app.
