With songs that I re-RIP again to higher quality, when I’m moving around songs to playlists, I can only merge albums and artists, Plex doesn’t merge songs (at least to my knowledge).
It would be nice to keep integrity to my playlists that I’ve made and transferred between music players over decades to Plex now, and keep them going, while also continuously working away at my physical collection to redo the qualities again.
iTunes had this “Show in Playlist” option which is a great overview option to do this quickly - while also providing other flexibility to many other use-cases in organizing your perfect music collection.
