PlexAmp showing albums out of order

I’m on Version Version 4.50.1 and the latest version of PlexAmp. This has been an issue for the last three updated versions of plex and (at least) the last two version of PlexAmp.

The order of tracks I see in Plex on Windows differs from the order in PlexAmp.

For example: This is what the order is of an audio book by genre in Plex for Windows. I’ve circled the two in question.

I’ve verified that the “sort album” field is filled in accurately. What I’m seeing in Windows is what I expect to see. PlexAmp is showing them incorrectly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you have selected a different sorting criterium in Plexamp.
Like ‘release date’ for instance, instead of ‘Album Title’, like you expect.

Your screenshot above clearly shows that book 33 has a year of 2004, while the “earlier” books have 2012 and 2014.

Thanks for the response. Upon further digging it appears as though PlexAmp is defaulting to “Album Artist”.

I can change to sort by title, but the next time I go into the list it’s reset to “Album Artist”.

I dug through the settings but could not find a place to set default.

Do you happen to know where that is / if there is one?

I don’t think there is a preference to define a default sorting.
But I assume as soon as you fix the wrong date on that album, it’ll fall into place.
