Plexamp skipping multiple tracks on Android

Attached are the debugging logs I grabbed immediately after it happened. Plexamp on Android mobile has a weird bug where it will skip through multiple tracks, sometimes up to 20 tracks before stopping and playing again. When i play from the Plex app, this never happens. I’ve verified playback of those same skipped songs in the Plex app and they play just fine. Seems to only be in Plexamp. I love the features of this app, but this skipping makes the app almost unuseable for me. It also happens when I use plexamp through Android Auto.

Thanks for submitting logs with your report, super helpful!

Seeing networking issues in your logs:

Jun 23, 2023 21:19:23.244 [0x472f1cb0] INFO - Cache: Network error (-18) occurred, we might want to kick off recovery (still 0 bytes in network buffer).
Jun 23, 2023 21:19:23.244 [0x472f1cb0] ERROR - Cache: Network error is considered fatal.

That error is this:

CURLE_PARTIAL_FILE (18)

A file transfer was shorter or larger than expected. This happens when the server first reports an expected transfer size, and then delivers data that does not match the previously given size.

Seems like some sort of networking thing, or perhaps your server is having an issue; logs from the server might be illuminating right after you observe the issue as well.

Thanks for taking a look. It happened again to me today on the drive home from work. I’m using plexamp on my Pixel 7 Pro. At approximately 18:29 I was trying to play an album, I think I see some sort of errors around transcoding, but I have a very limited idea of what it means. If you search “the roots” in Plex Media Server.1.log you might see what I’m talking about.

Looks like it’s missing a codec for some reason; these should automatically download. I might recommend re-analyzing the media just in case.
