Sorry if this has been covered but I’m really struggling to figure this one out.
I have a Plex Server, Plex Pass and Sonos speakers. Using the PlexAmp app, I can successfully play music to my sonos speakers from the ‘Cast’ symbol. Now, I’ve added my Wife to my Plex Home, she has her own Plex account but no PlexPass; She is unable to see the Sonos option under the Cast button in PlexAmp.
Is this the intended behaviour or is there something I need to do to enable Sonos Casting for my Wife?
I believe she would need to link her account with Sonos as well, if she hasn’t done that, via https://plex.tv/users/other-services
Thank you for the suggestion. I followed that link from her account perspective and signed into Sonos, but there is still no Sonos option under her cast button, I’m afraid. I think perhaps we both need to have our own Plex Passes to make this work.
When I did it on mine, the Sonos speaker was available (from Cast) even before I’d signed into Sonos, with a ‘Sign in to Sonos’ message attached. On hers, there is simply no mention of a Sonos speaker at all.
That’s true today.
Perhaps Elan can influence a change here.
