Play music from Plex Library on Sonos *using Plex*

I have Plex Server that resides on a QNAP NAS. Server contains Movies and Music. I have no issues watching Movies (on my TV via Chromecast, iOS app, Mac App, etc.)

I do have issue trying to cast music to my Sonos speakers. I want to use the Plex App (Mac, iOS) to select music and choose Sonos as the destination to play it. This seems like it should be possible - the cast button (‘Select Player’) in the top right hand corner has “Sonos… Link your Sonos account” listed, but the menu item is dead and won’t let me click it.

I’ve got Plex Pass.

From within the Sonos app I can see my Plex Music Library and play to the Sonos speakers. It’s just that I want to use the Plex GUI to play music as it’s better.

I don’t think there’s an actual link on the target selection.
From what I remember you need to link Sonos to your Plex account from within the Sonos app after installing the Plex service.

Keep in mind that using Sonos requires remote access to be enabled on your PMS!

Had the same issue couldnt see any Sonos speakers with Plex or Plexamp but chromecast worked fine.

Had to re sign into Sonos via the web base as the windows app wouldn’t let me through to the link.

Thanks @tom80H . Plex is linked to Sonos via the Sonos app (I can actually play my Plex Library’s Music via the Sonos app to my Sonos speakers). Remote access is also enabled on the server.

I remember before buying the Plex Pass the offending ‘cast to’ button on the Plex for Mac App said something like “you need a Plex Pass to cast to Sonos”. Now I’ve bought the Plex Pass solely to add this functionality, and it doesn’t work. I didn’t realise that you couldn’t get personal technical support from Plex when you buy the pass. Ridiculous.

I’m not sure I understand what issue you experience.
You no longer see the Link your Sonos account message?
You can play media from your Plex Media Server from the Sonos app but the Plex app on your desktop or iOS don’t show the Sonos speakers as casting options?
