PlexAmp - Style Radio should be enabled when source library Genres is set to None

PlexAmp currently enables Genre Radio, in place of Style Radio, when the source library Genres setting is set to None. This makes no sense.

The workaround is to set the source library Genres to Plex Music, which has the unpleasant side effect of cluttering the library with overly broad and generally meaningless genre tags.

to clarify—that is a server setting/behavior.

when genre is set to Plex Music, the server exposes style radio.

when genre source is set to none or embedded (tags), we use genre instead.

where are you trying to get your genres from?

Nowhere.

I’m trying to avoid genres, which is why I set the library setting to “None”.

ah, sorry, it’s kind of late here.

i’ll make a fix on the server end, it doesn’t make sense for it to be using genres if you have “none” selected.

Thank you. Very much appreciated.

Of course. Sorry. I’ll check timeanddate.com before I post asking that you stop forcing US date format (with ordinal indicator to boot) for album release dates.

wouldn’t that go along with general app localization?

One would think so but album release date, displayed below album track list, is using format “mmm dS, yyyy” eg “Nov 6th, 2020”.

PlexAmp 3.3.0 for Android with System Language: English (Australia)
PlexAmp 3.3.1 for Windows with Display Language: English (Australia)

Plex Account Language: English (UK)

I note there is a language setting, under General, for Plex for Windows and Plex Web but I cannot see an equivalent for PlexAmp.
