When playing TIDAL tracks added to my library, loudness levelling is not applied, causing the tracks to be far louder. Playing the same tracks from TIDAL applies loudness levelling correctly. In both cases, the seek bar shows the correct loudness graph.
The first track I played was a TIDAL track added to my Plex library, while the second track was the same track but searched through TIDAL. Gain is set to 0 when played from my library
The track: Binary Star (Remastered) by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] on TIDAL
Note that this applies to every TIDAL track that I have added to my library, this is just the track I used to capture logs.
In inspecting the logs, I also noticed that the track was FLAC when played from my library, but was AAC 320 when played direct through TIDAL.
Plexamp Version: 4.6.1 Linux (Flatpak), 4.6.1 Android
Plex Server Version: 1.30.2.6563 Linux (Docker)
I’ve read through the linked thread, and I do not believe this is the same issue. If I am understanding correctly, the thread you’ve linked is about tracks that have not yet been loudness scanned. My issue is about tracks that have been loudness scanned, but Plexamp is still not applying loudness levelling.
Screenshot of the offending track played from my Plex library:
Screenshot of the correct track played from the TIDAL artist:
In both cases, the loudness graph is present, but the first track plays back much louder using the steps outlined in my original post.
Please let me know if there is any additional info I can provide. This is affecting all of my devices and every TIDAL track I add to my library.
