Plexamp 'Track Radio' limited to just 4 or 5 songs since update

Plexamp is amazing, so I couldn’t wait for the latest update. I look forward to being able to use the Sonic Sage feature when that gets rolled out to the 99% of us without Tidal accounts :grin:

One thing I have noticed is that starting radio from a song now only adds a very few/small number of songs. I started a Track Radio from “I’ve got you under my Skin” by Sinatra and it pulled in just four other songs to add to the Track Radio. I have (seriously) thousands of related/similar songs and artists.

This seems new in 4.7.1?

I’ve tried it on iOS and the iPad and on both versions of the latest Plexamp, Track Radio has been dramatically reduced from previous versions.

Ive got “Keep the party going” switched on but when I do an Artist Radio or Album Radio, the playlists are really, really comprehensive and longer and dig deep into my library.

But Track Radio throws out only four songs?

1 - Anyone else get very limited songs in ‘Track Radio’ now?
2 - Can I set this to be longer/more songs?

Love Plexamp though! Gamechanger for me and my music library.

Thanks for the kind words!

  • Track radio is server powered, based on sonic analysis (similar tracks is a good thing to check).
  • The server generates it, so it shouldn’t change based on Plexamp version.
  • It always generates a few at a time and then more when you reach the end.

Thanks - there’s a lot more ‘similar tracks’ related to whatever song is playing than what I see in the Track Radio playlist. I might have been recalling it wrongly, but I thought there was often a much longer play list when doing ‘Track Radio’.

Still, loving Plexamp on all my devices. Such a huge leap forward for re-discovering your own content. I find Apple Music or Spotify is all about ‘what next’ and pushing me to discovery, whereas Plexamp is finding whole new ways of me listening to what I already have.

I look forward to be able to apply ChatGTP to my own library soon. That looks like a lot of fun.
