Plexamp vs. Plex app when streaming to an old school AirPort Express

Hi All,

Having a strange problem that maybe y’all can help me with.

Am trying to use the latest version of PlexAmp on my iPad 11" Pro - streaming to my 2nd gen AirPort Express (via Airplay). When I do that - both with music that is downloaded to the iPad and or music that is on my Plex server, I get skipping and aborted songs. I’ve got my caching settings set to 15 tracks on WiFi, and 5 tracks on cellular, and 2GB. I don’t know why it’s happening.

When I use the latest Beta of the normal Plex app, it’s perfect!

How can I diagnose what might be causing Plexamp to fail like this?

Huh. Is there any way to see why it might be failing when I use Plexamp?

No, because communication over AirPlay is totally opaque to the application.
