It displays album covers etc and Mouseover on playbutton changes to pause, but not keybindings nor mouse will click will cause this app to play a music file. PlexAmp App settings offer no alternative player other than local, which has several players to offer.
Any idea why this might be?

I have the same problem. I can browse the library, but cannot play any music with v1.1. After a reinstall, I can login, but the overview page never loads. Instead, PlexAmp stays blank until I click in the search box. I have reverted to v1.0.5 which is working fine. I’m on openSUSE.
With v1.1, my mpd.log is populated with:
exception: OutputThread could not get realtime scheduling, continuing anyway: sched_setscheduler failed: Operation not permitted
Same here. Can select tracks but they won’t play on my desktop PC, the player works on my laptop. The track audio analysis shows on my desktop PC, press play and it just stops straight away. I’ve cleared the PlexAmp configuration folder, rebooted, reinstalled, and it just doesn’t work. In one of the logs in my early attempts I had an error like ‘soundio device not found’. I’ve disabled all sound devices except for my primary device, but still no joy.
