Love PleXBMC, but I have just one small issue with it. I am running XBMC on openelec, but I have also tested this with the windows client as well with both aeon nox and cirrus. I am also running PMS on ubuntu server. On both clients the only issue I seem to have is PleXBMC not remembering the views within TV seasons. For example, if I have a more than one series and I change the view for that series then under xbmc it remembers that view style for all series, but PleXBMC doesn’t and I have to change it for every series. The same goes for each season within a series. Every season has to be changed and in some cases it the view gets set back, which is a little frustrating.
Has anyone else found this and is there a way round it?
Ok, no reply to this. All I really want to know is if Music plays using pleXBMC?
On my plex server I have a music section and iTunes. On all other clients the music plays fine but not on pleXBMC.

Yes, I have that problem too. It says "Script Error" and also "Playback Failed". I'm using an XBMC nightly from a few weeks ago and the latest version of the plugin from this thread. I hadn't noticed it because I don't normally play music this way.
Last night I was playing around with the settings in the pleXBMC addon. I enabled "Bonjour" (I figured maybe I was having network issues connecting from a windows to mac machine).
Hey Presto! Music now works. To be precise music in the music section plays without issue but itunes and spotify via the plex server don't. My music folder is located on the same mac mini as the plex server so this explains why videos played (they are stored on a NAS but why I was having issues with music). I'm happy enough now. Maybe this is a solution for you?

I am investigating purchasing this Cubox http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/35216-cubox/page__gopid__225854#entry225854 after I saw this amazing video of this thing in action. Even though there is currently no native plex client for the Cubox yet it does support XBMC right out of the box. Can you see any reason why it wouldnt work with pleXBMC? Any thoughts?
I’m currently using PleXBMC pre-EDEN Release 4 - Version 1.9.9.4 w/ ATV2.
Some movies (mainly 1080p and 720p mkvs) after few minutes/seconds during playback make completely reboot the ATV2. This is not happening on the same XBMC w/out using the plugin. Also plays fine on other Plex clients in the house. Also tried switching skins but the same error occurs even with a standard non PleXBMC optimized skin.
XBMC Version: EDEN b1 (was happening also with the previous build of 20th november).
PMS LINUX v0.9.5.2 on QNAP 459 Pro.
Any thoughts?

After a few days testing all I can say is that music playback is very unstable... I think it might be a network issue but sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I guess it is a bug with Plexbmc. Hope it's fixed soon!

Anyone, can you install the plexplugin on XBMC4XBOX ?
Most of the skins seem to remove the “Files” submenu option whenever Plex integration is enabled. Any idea on how to get this back?
I would not use the Plexbmc addon with integration per se if you need the videos section for local files, just use it as a regular addon/favorites. Currently I found the best setup for this is Eden Beta 1 with quartz 2 skin and the plexbmc addon added to favorites and then added to the video bar (i.e. the favorites bar for videos section).
@amlucent - If it supports xbmc Eden (only because this is the best version to use with plexbmc) then it should support Plexbmc. I would be wary of running AEON skin on it, however it should be fine with regular skin/quartz 2 as they are less processor intensive.
I just did a fresh jailbreak and install to latest ATV code. Installed XBMC pre-eden beta, Plexbmc 1.9.9.4 and the .9 beta3 plex client. This will be talking to a .9.5.2 Windows PMS which I can hit from all my clients. I can get to my plex server from the native ATV client, but when I try using plexbmc inside XBMC I am getting a 404 error. I also tried putting the plex server manually in the settings, but that didn’t make any difference. Any ideas?
Try installing an older version of plex media server if possible (pre-myplex) and setup a username and password for the media server. Re-install the latest Plex Media Server after this. The Plexbmc addon does not support myPlex and the newer Plex Media Servers do not support anon connections…
Unfortunately, I have an extremely large (Almost 40GB of assets in the plex database covering 100+TB of media) and am not willing to screw around with that right now and the 6 other clients that do work. I will have to wait until plexbmc catches up and stick with the atv plex client in that case.
Well, the developer of PleXBMC hasn’t been around for quite a while. I wouldn’t bet on any further development. I hope I’m wrong. :unsure:
Just to confirm mine is working well on the xbox, little bit sluggish between menus but worth it.
I added the plugin to the videos plugin directory, when it was added under programs it would work but no video playback.
any news on this???
@hippojay: is this plugin still in development? I use it on a daily basis on a ATV2 and on a ATV1, the reboot problem on atv2 is annoying .... any idea???
