Found the mistake with the thumbnails... as xbmc was set up to look for the thumbs on a different machine. I just took it out of the advancedsettings.xml and no the thumbs are back :)
another question, is there an option to keep the view settings set? ie i change the view in quartz3 to info2 but after reentering the section another time it is set to list autmatically…?

i have the new pms, it seems that it broke plxbmc. i keep receiving a timeout error and logging doesn’t seem to generate anything extraordinary.
I’m not getting anything out of the plexbmc specific skins for XBMC. What am I supposed to gain from using it? Has it stopped working since Eden? I’ve never used it so it’s hard to tell, but I keep having to enter video-plugin to be able to see any content. Same as without the skin.
What is does “a better Plex-like experience” entail?
Did you enable Plex integration in the skin settings? When you do that it should act almost like a native Plex client instead of xbmc.

For me PleXBMC works fine inside XBMC on my computer in my LAN. But when I’m at work (outside LAN) I can’t load the TV Series with PleXBMC. Any news on this?
*** Watched/Unwatched status** isn’t displayed correctly or at all. ATM i’m using latest Quartz skin, but it doesn’t matter which skin i’m using. It’s the same everywhere. Even if i manually try to select “Mark as unwatched/watched” doesn’t change anything. No status badge is shown.
*** Resume/Start from beginning** always shows twice. For example, i start to watch a video; stop it (back to menu); when starting it again first XBMC’s choose-dialog pops up; i select one option; PleXBMC’s (or PMS’s) choose-dialog pops up asking the same again…
*** Poster/Fanart isn’t displayed correctly** after changing it in PMS. It always shows the very first poster/fanart and doesn’t change to the new ones.
Is there someone who can fix this and update PleXBMC to a fully working version again?

Ditto! If would be fantastic to see these issues resolved. I installed Windows 7 64-bit on my 2011 Mac Mini w/ 8gb of RAM. PleXBMC works great with the latest XBMC Frodo (12.0) build that incorporates the new audio engine (HD audio passthrough!!!). I love getting full HD audio support with my Plex library :)
Hi. Jumping in a bit late on this discussion I know but I have been struggling with this for a couple of days now…
My home setup is a Macbook pro running OS/X Lion with the Plex Media Server running with 9 movies showing.
I have a jailbroken Apple TV 1st Gen (160gb Model) running XBMC and want to stream videos (.mkv and .avi) files from my Macbook Pro to my ATV1 as MP4 quality sucks…
I have d/ld the 1.9.6.3 version of the Plex Plug in for ATV and it installed successfully. However when I run it, I get nothing as I just cannot figure out what to tell the configuration on my ATV1 to make it “see” my Macbook-based PMS library. I feel a solution is really close but cannot figure it out myself
Is this SUPPOSED to work on an ATV1 or is it ATV2 only?

Will using this plugin solve the only issue I have with plex?
I need to be able to switch resolutions based on the source content, because of my particular mix of TV and Projector not both supporting the same formats, so I need to pick the common denominators.
Basically, anything 50/60Hz I need to playback in 720p/50/60, anything at 24Hz I need to play in 1080p/24.
Does xbmc let me do this, and will this plugin still give me a plex-like experience on my mac mini?
Lastly, does it affect using the plex iOS client in any way? Sounds like I should still be able to watch some tv shows on its ands then the watched status and playback position still syncs up with xbmc?
Not sure where this is happening, as it works find on my set up. I can navigate to a movie, mark it as unwatched/watched, come out and go back in and the status has been kept.
Yes, this annoys me to. It's XBMC that remembers that it has played a movie and giving the resume option before plexBMC has time to interject. I'll have to talk to teh XBMC guys to find out why the movie URL is becoming cached and undo it (or at least give me control of it). One possible workaround is to add some random number argument to the URL that PMS will ignore, but which will stop XBMC from matching.
Hmmm, yes I've noticed this - but I'm not sure why. XBMC should revalidate the has of an image every 24 hours I think, but these don't seem to (or are at least not working as expected). Again, I can force this by re-adding the 't' time variable that PMS gives me but this might mean more caching of images than is necessary. I've try it my end and see what happens - I use PlexBMC every day so I should be able to see what the impact is over a couple of days.
I have a severe lack of time at the moment and lots of stuff to do. The problems left are th3 awkward ones and it takes a number of hours just to work out why XBMC isn't doing what it supposed to, or as expected.
KInda works, but when you stop playback, XBMC doesn't rerun teh plugin, so you have the same random number and it picks it up from the XBMC database again. I'll post a message on xbmc.org and see what happens.
One feature outside of th3 awkward bunnies should be myPLEX support. The lack of it is really disturbing since plex removed the support in new servers for remote username and password. If I had any skills in coding I would help out with this but sry to say I lack every little bit of it.

Myplex is something I've started looking at, but wasn't able to get it going yesterday. I know how to integrate into plexbmc, but just not able to get authentication working yet.
I've asked for some help in the developers forum, so will wait to see what happens.
