I'm having a problem with the Netflix plugin where if I open it from the Channels→Video→PC→Netflix (or off the shelf) it brings up a minu titled "Videos" and the only two options are preferences (sign into Netflix) and the .. button. Other than that, great OS! It's really fast and works well on my 21" Acer X221W and detects the Wi-Fi adapter like a charm!
Have you filled in your netflix user/pass in the preferences?
Yes. There is one other optionin the preferences menu, something like “reset video” or something like that.
New-ish user still learning the finer points of plex. I seem to be having a very similar issue to a few people in this thread several pages back, but reverting to older versions hasn't helped:
On the local machine which runs PMS, xbmc frodo + quartz + PleXBMC (current versions) runs like a charm.
On PS3, DLNA server runs fine.
On Win8 App, PMS works perfect.
But on another laptop, the main HTPC, XBMC frodo + PlexBMC can't seem to maintain a connection to the PMS over wireless LAN. whether I force a specific address or use the discovery function, the connection will enable long enough to see the deck, and play a video, but if left idle for a few seconds, it will 'forget', and say "Unable to see any media servers". Often, this message will pop up AS I'm browsing said media server. Sometimes the server seems truly forgotten (no movies, tv, channels accessible), other times I can still access everything just fine. This behavior is identical across multiple PlexBMC versions.
As you can imagine, repro of any one specific behavior on this is a ■■■■■, because there's no real reason I can discover why plexbmc can see my server long enough to access a video, but is unable to keep that connection open and behave normally. 'Swapping' from discovery mode to specific address mode often temporarily restores library access, but as soon as xbmc is restarted, it's back to 'forgetting'. I have a connection for a few seconds, but if I wait, I lose it.
What's going on here?
I have attempted the following:
reversion to previous plugin versions going back to 3.0.7
forcing plex port 32400 in conjunction with address selection
resetting PMS with and without myplex authentication requirements
discovery via bonjour and GDM
Plex media center seems to work fine, except that it's a terrible media player, and I don't want to use it on a windows machine ever ever. The win8 app is excellent, but I'm not on 8 for an HTPC, and it too has severe limitations compared to xbmc. since I was using xbmc before switching to plex, I'd prefer to stay with it. Again, the setup works perfectly on the local machine, just not the networked machine.

Update:
Did a complete reinstall of XMBC Frodo, Plexbmc 3.1.5, Quartz. No initial change in behavior, so went to PMS to see what else I hadn't tried....
I hadn't published the server outright. *facepalm*
with DLNA fully automated, and all my other devices using official plex software, it hadn't occurred to me that external software would need a server 'published' in order to authenticate.
Upon publishing the server (router-configured to an open port), Plexbmc made one last protest of 'unable to see', then reset.
Now plexbmc remembers the last connection on startup, and maintains a connection to PMS via autodetect GDM, without any trouble.
This really is an awesome plugin, far far better than PMC. Thank you for all the hard work, and I look forward to seeing it expand and improve.
The ONLY troubles I seem to be having at this point - While the deck is visible, clicking on an item in it gives back a plugin.failed error. However, playing the video via menu selection otherwise works fine. It's not a huge deal, since the deck is kinda finnicky anyway, and 'resume' works from within the menu tree. Nonetheless if anyone has a fix or suggestion, I'd appreciate it.
The second item is probably just a quartz issue - the 'fanart' display attempts to display a wideicon, unless you 'select' the fanart option again. xbmc seems unable to recognize this selection however, so when you return to fanart, the wideicon is displayed again. Since I don't have wideicons, it just stretches the box art. again, not a huge deal, and might belong in a quartz thread, but if anyone knows how I can correct this (perhaps by finding and deleting any and all wideicon references?) I would be grateful.

Wow, this is awesome, with the lack of a Jailbreak for the ATV3 and the ludicrous price of second hand ATV2's, I was seeking a few additional cheap plex client's for my main Plex Media Server.
I had a couple of Raspberry Pi's gathering dust, so today I installed PleXBMC for the first time. Looking back through this thread, it looks like I might have hit it just at the right time because you sure have come a long way!
Having been used to Plex for so long, I found it a little strange and non-intuitive to configure at first, for example when you've used the "install from zip" option, it seems completely wrong to me to then have to go into "Get Add-Ons" to configure and enable various settings etc.
Once I got around the XBMC oddities and got the Quartz skin working, its amazing, the Raspberry Pi actually looks like an AppleTV, cleaner and a hell of a lot simpler to navigate!
I haven't used it in anger yet, but its played everything from my PMS fine so far without any hitches.
It's a little slow when browsing my movie sections, I'm yet to figure out if thats a one off cache type thing or whether thats just a permanent trade off because of the RPi hardware.
Also, the next task is I'd like to get it working with a nice simple IR remote like the Apple one (don't want loads of un-necessary buttons).
Of-course, one has to be careful because it doesn't make sense to start buying a lot of accessories otherwise before you know it, by time you've added up all the costs, e.g. a RPi, SDCard, IR Dongle, Apple Remote, etc, you getting close to a more powerful $99 ATV anyway which has WiFi, a remote and its own power supply all nicely cased!

How does the native Plex work on RPi? I still use PleXBMC with my ATV2’s along with a Roku 2XS. I’ve thought of going down the RPi route but as you mention, for the cost of the extras you may as well invest in a Roku.
Can an Apple remote be used with an RPi and standard IR receiver? I’m still thinking of getting rid of the ATVs and going for the RPi mainly due to PleXBMC over the Roku 3
Ok, I got Netflix streaming to the Pi with this Addon!
Here is my setup:
PMS on Win 7, Netflix Addon installed
XBMC via openelec on Raspberry Pi B 512MB
Plexbmc Addon & Plexbmc Helper installed through Plexbmc repo
Plexbmc set to always transcode, source Auto. Didn't change any other settings
Caveats: Netflix Addon for PMS is limited to USA. Any other region or unblock-us region switcher do not work.

The netflix API is only fully expose for US residents. So you cannot access it outside of the US.
However, you should be able to access it if you use a service like unblockUS and point it towards netflix USA. This is how I tested the channel, as I'm UK based.

i'm having a problem with subtitles on raspberry (plexbmc + raspbmc) since a few days/weeks.
No subtitles is playing (english "name.en.srt" or french "name.fr.srt") so i have to use the xbmc subtitles downloader addon.
Subtitles were working well during the past versions.
Both "Plex control" or "xbmc control" in plexbmc settings / playback have the issue.
Subtitles are well recognized by PMS and working well on plexweb or plex home theater.
When I try to force subtitles for a movie (right click / xbmx infos / select subtitles) I see "english" by default (as choosen in PMS), I can change to another subtitles, but it doesn't work neither.

There is an issue where subs don;t get set correctly - this is fixed in a newer version (which I'm currently testing)

I searched around a lot and couldn't find any answers relating to my problem. Whenever I attempt to play a movie it says there is a script error. I found some places where people said they had this issue with the RaspberryPi but I am using the Windows version.

As an update, I tried it on a second computer and had the same issue. I've tried putting in my myplex details as both GDM and manual and I've also just tried setting it as the master server. Everything works fine in Plex Home Theater so I know it's not an issue with one of the videos I've chosen or the PMS setup. I would love to switch away from PHT and use just XBMC but unfortunately this is the only thing preventing that.
Is there a way to have Plexbmc have the PMS add all the media to my local xbmc library so I can use XBMC scan and add all artwork/media into it?
Hi I'm having a problem adding the 'TV Catchup 2.0 with EPG' add-on to my add-ons shelf, all of my other XBMC add-ons work fine but for some reason the TV Catchup one doesn't even come up as an option,
If anyone could offer any help it'd be greatly appreciated.
