PlexConnect and ATV2 5.0.2

I was having issues where everything would say trailer unavailable. I found an episode.xml file that was posted to Pastebin and it fixed my issues.

I'm running this on my imac right now. I have PMS running off my synology NAS, it would be nice if PlexConnect could run off the NAS directly.

That is the pastebin that had the episode.xml that I used to fix my issues.

Huh?
The Episode.xml is only pulled in once you select to display those, say after selecting a season.

Why should exchanging this file solve "everything would say trailer unavailable"... do you have more detailed info on your previous issues?

How to report an issue:

https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/How-to-report-an-issue

NB we will not support it where you have randomly changed the code so try downloading a fresh copy and then let us know what happens with that.

I did a fresh git clone and the issue I had before is happening again. It happens for both TV Shows and Movies. I'm able to see all the seasons and episodes but as soon as I try to play any of them I get "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later." Let me know what other information I could provide that would be helpful in diagnosing the problem.

I am having the same issue. Every movie/episode I try to load terminal outputs:

And "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later" is displayed.

This has happened since the last two days (after pre-play screen update) and persists even when downloading fresh zip archive from github.

I've recently updated to the latest version as of Friday May 31st @ 11:21 and neither the Movie or TV Show pre-play screen works. Here's my setup:

ATV 2 5.0.2

ATV DNS 192.168.0.5

PlexConnect and PMS are installed on my MacBook running OS X 10.8.3

All media is on an external 2TB hard drive attached via USB 2.0

And here's my terminal output:

http://pastebin.com/5qJ5tuKc

All my media plays just fine its just that I can't bring up the pre-play screen  :(. Also I've noticed that I still don't have the unwatched blue dots and I don't recall ever having these. Are they supported on 5.0.2?

As far as I can remember, the dots seem to be covered by the metadata images on 5.0.2. Roidy should have a more definitive answer, though.

When I used that Episode.xml file that allowed tv shows to work, the thumbnails were replaced with blue dots. I’m not sure if that’s related or not.

Thanks Baa. I'll wait for Roidy's feedback.

On a totally seperate topic. I've noticed that if you hold down the select button to mark a Movie Watched/UnWatched the name is shown as $$title$$. Just a small thing I know, but I thought I'd let you know.

Thanks again to you both for all your hard work on this project. It's really great to see it progressing at such speed. I'm stuck with 5.0.2 because I still use the ATV Plex app but I feel that moving to 5.2.x would be good in the long run with PlexConnect. I just need to make sure that I don't loose any features by doing so (i.e. transcoded titles) otherwise the family will not be happy and I won't be able to go back.
