I know when released it was stated the supported firmware was 5.x but has anyone able to get this working on other ATV 3 firmware I do not currently have the device but don’t want to buy new model if its not going to work on latest firmware looking for your suggestions

I am currently installing 5.4 beta 1 on my atv3 will report back in a couple of min with the result.
If I bought a new ATV3 from Apple is there ways to revert back to older level of firmware - what is the current level of firmware ATV3 is it 6.x interested to know if plexconnect will work on the latest level of firmware
Plexconnect still works for me on 5.4 beta1 (ios7)
5.3 is the latest ios6 fw and plexconnect works there as well.

And just to clearify I have the latest beta on my ATV3 and it works like a charm.
Ok so would be fine to buy a brand new ATV3 from Apple Store - Plexconnect will work and be compatible with it? That’s all I want to know

By the way, the most recent installed build is 5.2.1 not 5.3.
Out of interest do any of you use plexconnect on Linux platform - my plex media server runs on Ubuntu and ok 24/7 so would prefer to setup plexconnect from within Ubuntu

Ubuntu is mentioned in the supported/unsupported OS page on the wiki if you care to take a look.

I have made the configuration changes as wiki, its the same setup as osx with the only exception being that you change the 8.8.8.8 address to 127.0.0.1 - I am going to be using wifi does that have additional configuration

So by doing that you are keeping dnsmasq still running?
@Baa I am running it on Ubuntu and as per the Wiki it states for Ubuntu you would replace the 8.8.8.8 in ip_dnsmaster in the settings.py with 127.0.0.1 (this is due to dnsmasq in Ubuntu) https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Install-guides
