I'm after some feedback from some expert users as to find out if what I am proposing will work entirely.
This question might have been best posted in the CloudSync thread but I'll start here and see how it goes.
I own 3 properties. Main Residence (Site 1) Rental House (Site 2) Holiday Home / Fishing Shack (Site 3)
The two remote sites would be connected to the Draytek VPN router at site 1 that supports netbios & wins passthrough etc.. so resolving from Apple TV's to PlexConnect shouldn't be a problem.
Site 1) 12mb/1mb net - 30tb unRaid(xen) server with vm's (Plex + Plexconnect) 3 Apple TV's
Site 2) 17mb/1mb net - 2 Apple TV's
Site 3) 8mb/300kb net - 2 Apple TV's + All Originals Bluray Movies & TV Shows stored in boxes
I have been in the habit of using Plex Sync to my iPhone or iPad for watching content at Site 2 or Site 3 but often forget things to sync and accessing Plex outside my network can only just handle 1 device on ultra low streaming settings.
So... I have introduced CloudSync now, I've been through 4 providers and only found Dropbox to actually work, while Box, Bitcasa, Copy & Google drive all error and just don't seem to work correctly with my slow upload speed.
Question 1) Will my CloudSync library show up in PlexConnect at a remote site.
Request to PlexConnect Dev's - can you please add an ultra low streaming setting to PlexConnect i.e. 420p with 96k audio. In the event CloudSync fails and I would want to use PlexConnect over the VPN
Thanks
Will
