PlexConnect on Freenas

the only resource worth mentioning I could find aiding with this was

I have completed most of this, I am just stuck when trying to launch plexconnect.py on my freenas server, it is telling me that I am missing the trailers.pem

Use this guide to install. You can install a cert from your nas to your aTV using this once plexconnect is installed and running on the nas.

Unfortunately a lot of this will not work since Freenas is different, I am newer to nas and not sure how to work around a lot of these steps yet. I just wish Apple TV had an app for this. As for right now I have to run PlexConnect from my laptop, but this is not a convenient solution because my FreeNAS server should be able to run it all.

Have you checked the permissions on the Assets/Certificates folder where trailers.pem should be located?  Also is the trailers.pem copied into this folder?

I am having more trouble installing PlexConnect within a jail in freenas, I had plexconnect running off of my laptop fine and it. The trailers files I made are all in assets/certificates

do you have pms running on the freenas as well ?

if so, easiest solution would be to install/run it in the same jail.

Yes, PMS is on the server. I could try running it in the same jail.

Make sure cert file is in the cert folder. Chmod 777 the folder. Launch PlexConnect daemon to start it. You should be running PlexConnect in the same jail as plex
