DS 1513+
DSM 4.3-3750
Python 2.7.5-6 from Synocommunity
Plexconnect 1.0-4 from the first post
Still cannot install, the installer says "Invalid file format".
Odd - I have a DS1813+ with DSM4.3 and had no problems installing the package and all working great now. I used 1.0-3. PM me your email and I will send you package I installed.
First off let me say this is awesome best thing ever!!!
Now let me apologize if this has already been mentioned. I just ran through the installer and found an odd quirk I guess you could call it. For some reason I was not able to get my ATV to connect to after installing plexconnect. I stubbled onto the log section which is great that the cli output is there... and found that plexconnect gave itself an odd IP address that I didn't think was on my network. after a bit of looking around I figured out that it had grabbed the ip address of the PPTP VPN connection I have running on my synology. Something I am sure most people are not doing however I thought I would let you all know. After disconnecting from the vpn and stopping/starting plexconnect everything works awesomely.
Thanks for the great work on this - it's exactly what I have been waiting for.
I have it all working but sometimes the trailer app does not mange to access the plex library. If I spot and re-start plex connect it then works again.
I figure changing the settings.cfg to the static ip should solve this.
Logging into /root via putty the command Edit does not work. Could you please advice how to perform the editing of this file?
Nope, it is new in the PlexConnect master branch, I did not look at it/used it, just noticed it in the remark....
Still a bit confused as to what is required to 'fix' this. I just add another section as below to /usr/syno/apache/conf/extra/plexconnect-vhosts.conf (and to the httpd-vhosts.conf - not sure why but it was also there too for trailers.apple.com) that fixed the problem.

yes that is what has to happen.... as said I did not look at it yet... i'm using the 0.1 version since that is the only one compatible with my ATV. Will make an updated installer soon since that does not break the older version....

Many thanks. Also, not sure if it is required/needed; but see that the entries are being added by the installer to both httpd-vhosts.conf and plexconnect-vhosts.conf file; both of which are being loaded by the httpd.conf. Doesn't cause any problem though

the 0.1-4.spk does not use httpd-vhosts.conf anymore....
your httpd-vhosts.conf should not be loaded anymore, that is a leftover from a previous install that was not properly cleaned up by uninstalling or you added it yourself and then you should remove all plexconnect vhosting stuff from that file....
if you did not add it yourself you can safely comment out that line responsible for the loading in /usr/syno/apache/conf/httpd.conf-user and remove the file /usr/syno/apache/conf/conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf since it does not exist by default on the NAS....

Probably there from my messing around with things this morning. Have removed the references to it and all good.
