PlexConnect stopped working - need help please!

Hi all,

I have been using PlexConnect for a while and initially managed to make it work just fine but since a few days it just stopped working and can't figure out why.

I tried to upgrade both PMS and PlexConnect, so I'm now using versions PMS 0.9.9.14 and PlexConnect 0.4+.

Both are running on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 (IP address 192.168.0.16).

I tried to activate Log Level = High but I'm still not able to see much (actually looks like not much is happening).

Whenever I launch Trailers on my ATV (v3), i can see the intercept in the logs but nothing else. The message on the screen is "Trailers is not available...".

Here is my log file from PlexConnect: http://pastebin.com/00Vc59wF

The Settings.cfg file is here: http://pastebin.com/3RnRaQGt

My PMS log file is here: http://pastebin.com/1iKhhCPE

Would anyone be kind enough to have a look and give me some hints?

Thanks

Try restarting your AppleTV. This could be the same error I am experiencing.

Whenever the AppleTV sits idle for a longer time and/or goes to sleep, I have to re-start it before PlexConnect starts working again.

Already tried restarting the ATV multiple times... no luck :(

Some problem here. Worked fine until yesterday. Played back some TV shows but then made the mistake of returning to the ATV3 main menu and couldn't return to Trailers/PlexConnect.

Updated PlexConnect to version 0.4-dev to no avail. Setting the log level to High doesn't appear to make any difference. DNS requests come through fine. Only the requests routed to Plex seem to fail, which leads me to believe it is a problem in the response returned to the ATV.

Would love to be able to log those. Is that possible?

no one with any idea?

Any updates to Firewall or something?

Using virtualization of some kind?

What does browsing to 192.168.0.16:80 as well as :443 from another machine return?

How old are the certs? How where they generated?

Thanks for hints.

I don't think there was any update on the firewall, but the certificates may be the issue.

I followed the generation process from the guide Github page (https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Install-Guide-Mac-Certificates), something like 1 year ago maybe (whenever this became mandatory after the ATV update).

I didn't realise there may be an expiration date... I'll try to do it again.

Thanks!

Certs last 10years. Still a good idea to start fresh though.
