description:

-atv ios 7, wired connection, cat 6, everything basically fine, as far i follow the apple way of life. located with manual setup as 192.168.0.69, dns manual at 192.168.0.111 show the local workstation in an existing win2k8 domain, where everything else works brillant at all.

-plex media server is running on a local pc, quadcore, everything more than enough, also wired, no probs else, located in that spoken windows domain. has fixed ip 192.168.0.111

-existing real dns-server is at 192.168.0.98 and 192.168.0.99 reachable.

-gateway is an real hsi- cableconnect 150 mbs dualwan router at 192.168.0.1

even after all different tryout- that damn thing which seems to be easier than anything else in the whole world will not, correcting- not really or stable working.

in that browser on pc i sit right now i cannot post an item so there i copy you the increase log-file:

that was all i get from the log, even it is in settings on loglevel high:

anyway the plex was working, for seconds, just as far to see that it could be working. i was really excited to see the trailer app works and brings the plex-inlet. disgusting there is really such music/movies in there like i brought in from the web based plex media server.

but if that was so, i just had 1 song. then it was off- without any changes. in the live window of plexconnect it shows that as network error 10053 - an existing network connection has been rejected.. or something like that. the item was repeatet 3 / 4 times. then the traditional entries follows.

i cannot believe what the hell goes. i stopped the plexconnect, started once again. got nothing on the atv. not the plex, not the connection from other/ apple apps.

the most unbelievable thing presents me that soem times it has worked, for a liitle while, and the with same settings i does nothing.

sometimes there was an automatic recognizing for a valid pms in the live-view, and then it is not. also without any changes !!!

it also takes no matter if i place the real router as dnsmaster, the real server (which is dns for a whole working domain) or put the google-server in- it works, a few times, then nothing at all.

my settings are:

g_settings = [
('enable_plexgdm' , ('True', '((True)|(False))')),
('ip_pms' , ('192.168.0.111', '([0-9]{1,3}\.){3}[0-9]{1,3}')),
('port_pms' , ('32400', '[0-9]{1,5}')),
\
('enable_dnsserver', ('True', '((True)|(False))')),
('port_dnsserver' , ('53', '[0-9]{1,5}')),
('ip_dnsmaster' , ('192.168.0.1', '([0-9]{1,3}\.){3}[0-9]{1,3}')),
('prevent_atv_update' , ('True', '((True)|(False))')),
\
('enable_plexconnect_autodetect', ('True', '((True)|(False))')),
('ip_plexconnect' , ('192.168.0.111', '([0-9]{1,3}\.){3}[0-9]{1,3}')),
('hosttointercept' , ('trailers.apple.com', '[a-zA-Z0-9_.]+')),
\
('port_webserver' , ('80', '[0-9]{1,5}')),
('enable_webserver_ssl' , ('True', '((True)|(False))')),
('port_ssl' , ('443', '[0-9]{1,5}')),
('certfile' , ('./assets/certificates/trailers.pem', '.+.pem')),
\
('loglevel' , ('High', '((Off)|(Normal)|(High))')),
('logpath' , ('.', '.+')),

but they seems to do nearly nothing at all. trying about 20 times, one/ all in automatic recognize- works nothing. again started- it works!!! yeah... but seconds away- no chance.

same thing after settings in manually mode- dns, manually client. always same ■■■■. there are no difficults to resolve or keep network adresses / find relocations. there is also no ip getting probs or twice same name.

because i saw that by myself, it cannot be a incompatible ios- not really ground frozen settings.

what else? i am getting crazy -

thanks for patience!

Are you editing settings.py? If so you should not be!

Throw your PlexConnect folder away, download a fresh copy and use the guide on the wiki without altering any settings (you can reuse your old certs that you generated), if you still have an issue please provide the filled in template and log as requested in the sticky and we will help you get up and running.
