PlexConnect with VPN (PrivateInternetAccess)

Hi,

 

I am using Airport Extreme router, and have PlexConnect working perfectly on my Apple TV 3.

 

However as soon as i activate my VPN (Private Internet Access - Netherlands) (which I use solely for uTorrent), i can no longer access any part of my Plex library. (I think it changes my internal ip address)

 

I am not trying to access my plex remotely, I am just trying to access it on my local network.

 

Is there a way around this? I read in another forum that you can open port 110, but that hasn't worked.

 

I appreciate that this may have been asked already, but I have spent 30 mins scouring the forums and google for any sign of the same problem, so if anyone can help I'd be really grateful.

Try defining your PMS in the settings.cfg under ip_pms and turn enable_plexgdm to false, this way your are specifying the exact IP address to go to for your PMS and not just letting plexconnect try and use GDM to discover the server
