I’ve had plexconnect working successfully on ATV3 in the past, but after a server rebuild didn’t bother with it again until recently.
I have installed everything to the letter of the instructions.
I can successfully get the Trailers app working for Plex on my local network. It plays shows fine.
But all other apps like Netflix, Prime, AppleTV+ just show the spinning wheel and never load.
As soon as I go back to DNS settings in the appletv and change it back to Automatic, all the standard AppleTV apps work again. But of course now the Trailers app is back to being the factory default app.
I switch DNS back to manual and set it to PlexConnect - Plex works fine in trailers app, everything doesn’t.
In Settings.cfg I’ve tried having the DNS set to both Google’s DNS and my ISP DNS - neither work.
I’ve looked through the instructions and can’t see anything else that I should need to change. Can’t understand why it worked previously but doesn’t now.
