What happens if you try running PlexConnect itself using terminal?
Can't figure out for the life of me how to set Python3 as default. Could be that. On the upside, yes Plexconnect works when run from Terminal.
Already waiting to (Spoiler alert, mark to see what is written ;) ) change the Trailers channel so easily

Certainly. As with earlier posters on this thread, I dragged Plexify into applications, double-clicked and got no response. No evidence that the app is running.
Same issue here using OSX 10.7.5 - I can't get Plexify to do anything which resembles opening or running. I can click it all day long without a response.

Nowadays I have running the PlexConnect v.0.3 from the Terminal, but today I've seen there are several other options as Plexify or install the PlexConnect to the ATV2 directly.
What are the benefits/differences in this methods?

Feature request-Tell Plexify to update PlexConnect every X days. My computer is always on and by what i know Plexify updating PlexConnect only on startup, i would like it to update (and then restart PlexConnect of course (When ATV not used)) every 2 days.

Directly? No. Plexify lets you use PlexConnect just like you are using now but with beautiful nice interface and awesome features like auto updating from Github.

I am not the man for that (ATV 3 owner) But that's possible with Jailbroken ATV 2, search the forum for that too ..

Or an OSX daemon - install it once, and forget about it...
Advantage Plexify: auto-updates.
Advantage: aTV (jailbreak): No need to have your Mac running - well, if PMS is hosted somewhere else. Extra Button. No need for certs. No mess with DNS - aTV fully functional without PMS host.
So, I've just installed Plexify 1.1 RC, and everything seems fine computer-side, but when I try on my Apple TV, all I get is "Trailers is Unavailable. Try Again Later." All the other apps on the ATV work just fine. Just no Plex. Any ideas?

Did you installed the certs on atv?
Do I need to install new ones? I can still run PlexConnect from Terminal just fine, but it won’t function when I use Plexify. (And, no, I wasn’t trying to run Plexify while the other was already running).

You dont need to install new ones but you have to put a copy of your cert into the plexify directory by clicking on the preference tab in plexify an click on "open plexconnect folder"

I got it now. I skipped over the “Set Up Your Apple TV” part because I thought it was just setting my IP. I went through it and it’s all set. I didn’t even need to move any certificates.
