Whoever suggested python3 was wrong. Because plexconnect needs 2.7 (maybe 2.6) and definitely does not work on 3.x.
Correct, using Python 3.x is only going to ensure you break things further.

I have installed yesterday Plexify und it looks nice. But i have a problem with the automatic startup. The options ar set, but when my Mac Mini starts up. Then Plexify will started, but PlexConnect is not running. When i start PlexConnect then it's ok. Have other the same issue?

Plexify autostarts now? I knew there was a checkbox but I last time I tried to use it, it didn't work for me.

My goal is to make the app available for all platforms and this is only the beginning. Several days ago I started to rewrite Mac version from scratch. Actually, that's not the best thing to do (Never rewrite code from scratch) but it was necessary to make Plexify better. In the near future I'll start developing something for Linux (mainly for Debian based distros). But first things first.
The current (alpha) version of Plexify for Windows is really simple and it's compatible with Win XP, 7, 8 and 8.1 ( maybe even 2000 o.O ), written in C++. It doesn't have any windows - just a simple tray application.
A little bit about more Plexify.
- The latest version was downloaded ~1300 times.
- In the nearest future I'll make Plexify open source.

Just a quick question: After starting Plexify, it asks me to install the command line tools for git from xcode. Do I really need them or can I just ignore that?
I am not sure if this ever raised before.
I noticed on the system.log there is this line appears every second, the log runs disregard the status of plexconnect run or not.
Is it possible to reduce the frequency?

This is a well known bug and the developer already announced he will be fixing this in the near future

Hey guys... just bought an AppleTV 3rd gen yesterday and installed PlexConnect through Plexify. Everything works like a charm. Keep up the great work and thanks a lot!
So it looks like i found the reason that makes Plexify on on startup, but not PlexConnect. in the system's log at cosole i get path not accesible.
I can see Library folder in the home folder but not via the go button. Tried anything to make it completely visible.
What should i do?

As far as I understand, this is for the auto-update functionality.
But... without the Plexify source code, you never know. It's not public yet, is it? Did I miss it?

Not yet public. But i have much serious problems. I'm not shutting down my computer. this one
BTW, bug i got a few times:
I am not putting of the Hackintosh the Plexify works from. The reason for that it that it's not that loud and nobody sleeps in that room so atv's will always work that way. After a few days, i think, trailers is unavailable after a long loading .. And log shows nothing. No DNS request. Last thing in the log, all of these times is Plex media servers found. Nothing after that.
Restarting plexconnect doesn't help - I'm gettings webserser isn't alive.
Anyway, so waiting for 1.1 Final, i guess it'll fix it :)
It's so weird. Plexify shows it still running and last thing log shows before shutting down for no reason in that PMS found. Maybe there is a NO-needed timeout or something like that? I already deleted the apple-script app so i am really waiting for 1.1 FINAL

I'm running OSX 10.7.5. Downloaded Plexify 1.1. System requirements state Plexify is compatible with 10.7.5. After installing from the disk image file, OSX opens the popup window stating Plexify is a application downloaded from the internet (etc). Click OPEN and (nothing happens). Open Finder, navigate to the applications folder (the default folder the plexify.dmg wants to install to), double click on plexify, the icon flies out as if starting to open and again (nothing happens).
Checked Activity Monitor and plexify is not listed as a running process - anywhere.
Obviously this is nothing new as witnessed from other posts re: 10.7.5 users. It would be real nice to hear some feedback from nem4ara or Vahagn Mkrtchyan as to what the 10.7.5 problem is as it obviously affects that OSX version across the board. Has the problem been acknowledged? Is it being worked on?
Does anyone else sometimes have Trailers unavailable after you just watched something on ATV?
In general it works but sometimes we have to go to Trailers a couple of times before it actually works, any idea on this?
