Actually now, after I go into settings and place the admin password, restart the Plexify app, it no longer says password invalid, but just sits there. No UI reaction.

Yep, it's a remote. It's not have so many options but it's nice to have.

If you don't like it then don't download it - simple!! But don't start whining about it here - the dev has done absolutely amazing work to even get us this far with Plexify and I for one am extremely grateful that he even bothers.

Not sure Apple will allow it in the store. I'm sure Plex on Apple TV is a thorn in their side.

I want to install PlexConnect on a friend's ATV3 using Plexify. Do I still need to connect the ATV via microUSB cable? Or can it now be done wirelessly using Plexify?

Nothing to do with Plexify - PlexConnect does allow the cert download via network. Look in the Wiki, it's explained (I guess :-).
