Can you add fastuser as an option into you app? Its basically a simple way to automatically load pms (any app really) and lock your mac while still having a password protected machine by enabling automatic login and never killing PMS. Also a button to use fastuser instead of logging out. Here is the app and the code you would normally type in terminal:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/User.menu/Contents/Resources/CGSession -suspend

Sorry for the delay but is there a way to make the app remember the password? Will it be possible in v1.1? Cause if not, it's not really useable .. :mellow:

Will the app not ask for password this way? If so, it's have to be added to the app. Or just a way to type the password only once and check Rembmer my password which isn't available now ..
@tomer1749 he already said he was working on that. We will have to see when the new release comes out. Im still using launchctl to load plexconnect until the password can be saved, still this is a great start to move away from launchctl & applescript.

Should we look for the updated app in the first post?
We had someone creating something similar but he dropped off the radar.
It is a ‘helper’ app so please do not call it PlexConnect.app, rename it to something else more appropriate.
Are you planning to open the source code up, I mention this as it requires the user to give over their admin password and therefore full access to their machine?
I might be the only one, but any chance you will add 10.6 Snow Leopard support?

So something strange happened and I’ve only experienced this after this app, while watching a program or even on netflix when a file transfer on transmission completes it interrupts my streaming it just stops and goes back to the menu/play page of that file.

This is potentially a great application and i personally i am happy that you have come forward with this (as i said this is something we were exploring ourselves) but i do not want to confuse users as to this being anything officially released by the PlexConnect team, it is really a helper menulet/application.
Also any news as to posting the source code of this? Although it would be your right to not do so, i for one would not use an application from an untrusted source that gives unfettered access to my computer as it could well be a trojan.
