Plexignore (still) not working

This is a followup (after 2 years) to Excluding content on Windows (latest version) as of typing this.

I still can’t get this to work. Yes i’ve rescanned the library dozens of times. I’ve analyzed the specific series folder multiple times, i’ve refreshed meta data dozens of times. the Crossovers folder is still being indexed resulting in episode having “multiple copies” from different seasons

The plexignore file is properly named .plexignore (not .plexignore.txt) and currently has the file contents of

  • Q:\Plex Libraries\Series\Super Sentai\S40 - Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger (2016-2017)\Crossovers\[OZC-Live]Kamen Rider Ghost BD Box E24 ‘Appearance! The Mysterious Warrior!’ [1080p].mkv

  • Delete Files

  • Q:\Plex Libraries\Series\Super Sentai\S41 - Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger (2017-2018)\Crossovers\[OZC-Live]Kamen Rider Ex-Aid BD Box E24 ‘Be Ambitious and Go Together!’ [1080p].mkv

  • Delete Files

  • Q:\Plex Libraries\Series\Super Sentai\S33 - Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009-2010)\Crossovers\Kamen Rider Decade 24 - The Samurai Sentai Arrives v2.mkv

  • Delete Files

  • Q:\Plex Libraries\Series\Super Sentai\S01 - Himitsu Sentai Goranger (1975-1977)\Super Sentai - S01E24 - Blue Anger! Strong Greenmerang, Big Counterattack.mkv

That’s just 1 single episode, and the only valid one in this case where i’m trying to fix it is S01E24. Using square brackets is NOT an option. Why is this so difficult to get working reliably

Where is your .plexignore file? What is the path that your library is pointing to?

From the example in the support article you should be using *Crossovers/*.
