This is a feature request I guess. I have home video Plex libraries that I do not want exposed to KODI, so would it be possible to have a setting in PKC that ignores all videos that have a certain path? Current I’m getting a prompt to delete these from the library when KODI is started, and lots of log errors.
Thanks!
That does not make a lot of sense. Use different Plex libraries if you want to NOT show certain videos - put all of these videos in a separate Plex library. Then set up your Kodi skin according to Video Nodes and Skins · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub .
(Or you could also make a new Plex user which does NOT have access to that specific library at all, then setup PKC with that user: Several Plex Users · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub . From a security perspective, this would be much safer)

Please open a new Github issue and share your entire Kodi debug log in full length where you reproduce this behavior. Many thanks!
I just reboot libreelec and this time the movie starts normally ( no need to wait for 5min for a complete scan). I will post the log on github if this happen again.
Hi I have a recent problem. If I stops a video on 1 client and wants to resume it on the other client it doesn’t remember the correct resume time like it normally does.
Sometimes I have to exit and enter again.
What can I do?

Reboot everything, try again. If it happens again, please be very specific: what devices were involved? Were you at the very beginning or end of a movie? Was it a movie/tv show or a Plex channel?

when I watch TV series, once an episode is finished (but the end credits are still showing) I bring up the OSD and click Next button (aeon nox skin) but Instead of playing the next episode, it simply brings me back to the episodes list for the given season. I’m not sure if this is related to Kodi or PKC ? is there a way for the next button to simply play the next episode ?

That’s Kodi behavior, not PKC . I don’t know how you could change that
oh ok, I will look for that once their forum is back (if it comes back…)
Another issue I posted in another thread is related to the Movie Sets: i did all settings on Plex side and Kodi can see the movie sets correctly. However, the poster for movie set is empty… so It’s not easy to browse and choose the set i want to watch.
Is there an automatic way to set the poster for each movie set (or at least use the poster of the very first movie)

I have recently started having an issue where files that are watched on Kodi are not having their progress and watched/unwatched status tracked properly. Shows I have just finished watching will remain showing as unwatched in Kodi. I have to manually change their status and even when I do that it does not change immediately.

When did that start, approximately? Are you using PKC version 1.8.17? Have you tried rebooting kodi just to be sure? Have you tried another skin?
Why are Plex collections stored in BOTH sets and tags. It would be much cleaner if Plex collections were only in sets and the PlexLibrary names only in Tags.
Can you add the PlexLibrary name as an ‘album genre’ to music files when they are imported, in the same way as tags are added to movies. Then we can create nodes based on these to separate out the plex music libraries (same as movies/tv currently do with tags), as currently they appear as one big blob. I tested this out by manually adding them in Plex but it’s not practical to do this every time new media is added. Maybe Moods or Label could be used instead but Genre is only field available in Plex UI that is suitable.
e.g: I added genres plex-movies, plex-movies.kids, plex-movies.doc. It could be an optional feature and could use plexserver name as prefix to handle multiple plex servers.
Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before, what is the preferred Direct Play setup for a Local plex server - eg; Kodi, Plex and all the media are on the same machine?
I’ve set up the direct paths using SMB on my htpc / service (Ubuntu 16.04) but am unsure whether this is the most efficient PKC setup when everything is on the same machine.

I do currently have these videos in a separate Plex library. However, the video files are stored on the Plex Media server’s hard drive, and the file system is not shared using nfs or samba, thus PKC complains about the file paths to these videos not being accessible when KODI starts up. Ideally, I’d like to tell PKC to ignore either certain libraries or certain file paths. I can try using a different user as you suggested and see how that goes.
I just have one problem. I’m using kodi 18 on a raspberry pi 3 (Milhouse build) and when I try to cache all images to kodi (lovely feature) the library thread crashes. Same thing on my odroid c2. It does however work on my mac and kodi 17 on all devices.
I know that kodi 18 is not officially supported, I just wanted to submit the problem and if you could solve it, it would be a bonus.
Hi Croneter, I have another issue regarding Music (i’m using addon path)
When I inititally set up PKC it scan my music library files and added the few albums I have and I can play them via Kodi. No issue.
However, now when I add a new album in Plex, the album cover appears in Kodi but the content is empty (there is no song in there), not sure why

Does that happen with every new album you add? Does it also happen when Kodi is off, you add the album to plex, you turn Kodi back on?
workaround: reset your database in the PKC settings under Advanced
I just added 2 albums (3 CD and 2 CD) and Kodi show off the 5 CDs (with covers) but just empty, no soundtrack
I just did a repair local database but it didnt change anything.
In the log, I noticed I have a lot of: ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: HTTP returned error 401
but don’t know if it’s linked
I confirm that doing a full reset (yes yes no) is working, but it’s a pity to do this each time a new album is added
