Depends. If you’re using PKC addon paths, you’re fine. If you’re using PKC direct paths, chances are that you have to change your smb setup following https://libreelec.tv/2017/10/libreelec-krypton-8-2-0-release/

I would make a backup of your entire SD card, just in case, see e.g. Backup SD card before write image - USB-SD Creator Support - LibreELEC Forum

I’m hoping that I’m missing something obvious/simple… if not, next time I get around to trying to install I can post whatever logs might be helpful… 'cause this plugin seems awesome! I’m just having one problem -the Music library won’t show up???

Running a fresh Kodi 17 install on Windows 10, Plex Server is on a different machine on an SMB share… I edited the library paths as instructed on the Plex Server side of things, installed PKC on the Kodi machine, using DIrect Paths. Chose to enable the Music Library during installation, and the choice appears to have stuck when looking in PKC’s settings. When adding sources in Kodi, the video libraries show up just fine -all the movies and TV shows are there. And they work. Awesome. However, the music library does not show up (photos library doesn’t show up either, but less concerned about that). I should probably mention that the music appears to be syncing -I see the syncing dialog in the upper right hand of the screen -just like the movies and tv shows, but no library to choose when adding sources for music (or photos).

Am I missing something? I’m not near the Kodi machine now, but if a log is necessary I can generate one if I try the install again… THANKS for this really cool plugin and any help!

Glad you’re enjoying the ride  .

Did you manually add any Kodi sources?!? PKC does everything automatically; it might get confused if you did that. All you need is a clean/fresh Kodi install, then install the add-on and configure it. Done.

@croneter

apologies for bringing this up again. I have yet to receive a reply on the LibreElec forum.
I am getting nowhere with this.

You mentioned in post #1043: If you’re using PKC addon paths, you’re fine. Not sure what this should be.

I am using the default PKC settings and have tried every smb setting in kodi and libreelec.
A reset PKC still cannot find server. I tried rolling LibreElec back unfortunately the new samba settings remain. Nothing has worked.

I may have to do a clean install.
I realize this is not a PKC or your problem, any help is much appreciated.
Thank you

SO, uh, yeah, this time it worked? Maybe I did add a regular music source before… I dunno. It is pulling the music library -artwork, recently added, and recently played, etc. information from my plex server. But the library still doesn’t show up inside the PKC “Music Add-on,” which doesn’t really seem to matter -except for accessing the Plex-oriented feeds for things like Random music for a widget. Regardless, thank you! This add-on is AWESOME. Chipped in for some coffee B) Thanks again!

You are VERY generous, sir, thanks so much!!

Yes it is by design that the library is not showing up inside the PKC Music Addon.

I am not sure what’s happening but everytime I use this addon with Plex Cloud it messes up my library and everything stops playing. I noticed Plex starts to process every content in the library. Once they are finished processing they can no longer accessible. Meaning I can not longer playback any of them. Whenever I see that I stop the server which stops the process tasks. They only things I can play is the files that were not processed. And then I start to get Shaka errors. Any idea what’s happening here?

PKC asks the PMS for any changes to video items. The PMS does mark some items as changed even though that’s not the case and then thoroughly “scans” the item PKC asks metadata for. See Plex Media Server "bug" leads to frequent and slow syncs · Issue #135 · croneter/PlexKodiConnect · GitHub

In your case, it sounds like Plex screwed something up with the cloud PMS. Care to share some debug logs? How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub

We can do some testing for sure. I reset Kodi from my regular tv as after install PKC, Kodi was using 75% of my internal storage causing shield to constantly telling me it is running out space. I am going away today but when I reach my destination we can use my laptop to test and send logs.

You can deactivate artwork caching to safe disk space in the PKC Settings

I’m still getting error connecting / server offline messages come up even when I’ve created a PlexKodiConnect.xml that’s identical to the Generic profile.

Using Raybuntu’s libreelec c2 krypton builds.

Plex is behind cloudflare.

Any ideas?
