@croneter said: @cyriltra I see that PKC wants to play 376 items in a playlist! How do you initiate playback?
I use a harmony elite remote => I select the video I want to play then I click on OK button to launch the movie, it’s the same as if I use a keyboard. I’m using kodi Aeon skin.
So I checked an indeed there where items in playlist in Kodi, not sure how they arrive there… So I clear the playlist and launch a movie, but it seems it still trying to find the playlists items, which cannot. You can see the log i attached.
So i did a reboot and play 2 videos:
The first one started almost instantly and I played it for 1 or 2min then stoppped it.
The second one took several minutes again to start
Did someone succeeded in using Alexa with this?
I have a Kodi device running PlexKodiConnect as a client, and a server which is not in my local LAN.
Alexa could find them both when saying “Ask Plex to select my player / server”. But then every command such as “Ask Plex to play …” or “Ask Plex what’s on deck” results in “Sorry, I’m having trouble accessing your plex skill”.
I want to use Alexa to control Plex with my PlexKodiConnect as a client.
Choosing the right server and player works fine. Alexa could find them both, and seems like it got configured just fine.
But after that, when I am trying to start something or ask her what’s on deck she always ends up saying “Sorry, I’m having trouble accessing your Plex skill right now”.
Anyone had this issue as well and can help?
Thanks.

I’m working on a big overhaul of Plex Companion; this should help with Plex Alexa as well.

I will try a reboot of libreelec and try again
Do you have the Video Extras plugin installed in Kodi? Having that installed will cause this behavior. You would need to remove it if yes.

Just as @hstamas said, make sure you do not have the Kodi add-on “video extras” installed. It does not play nice with PKC. If you’re still having problems, please open a new issue on github.com. Make sure to then share DEBUG logs as explained in the wiki - I could not spot much in the logs you posted here.

I’m having trouble installing PKC in SPMC (an Android TV fork of Kodi). I just downloaded it today (1/1/18) from github so it should be the latest version. I can install the repo, but when I go to install the video add-on from the repo there’s nothing in it. I don’t have this problem if I use Kodi, but I’d rather use SPMC. Thanks for any assistance.

Should still work with SPMC, unfortunately I have no way to check. Does a restart/reboot help?

Tried rebooting my NVIDIA Shield TV, but no luck. SPMC still doesn’t show the PKC addon inside the repo. I guess I’m stuck with Kodi.

Are those the version of SPMC by Koying and are they compatible with Android TV? I usually just stick to what’s available in the Google Play Store on my NVIDIA Shield TV. Also, what skin are you using. I’m using Aeon Nox, but I’m thinking about trying a different skin and see how that goes.
There used to be a setting that enabled/disabled the pkc welcome message on KODI startup. Was that setting removed?
I use the Cinemavision add-on with KODI and PKC. When CV plays movie trailers that are stored alongside my movies, I’m seeing errors generated by PKC in the log. The only functional thing that is wrong is that CV refuses to play any trailers from other locations, like iTunes Trailers. So I was wondering what is the cause of these errors? https://pastebin.com/NLDWH2uC
This is such a great project, so much kudos to @croneter! One of the exciting bonuses is being able to cast music to Kodi as a Plex Client. Just a question in regards to music libraries/connections - when I turn off Plex sync for music am I right in thinking that the only function I lose is the sync from Plex to Kodi? From what I can see I am still able to cast music to Kodi as a Plex client and also control music playing in Kodi (even when started from within Kodi) via the Plex app when I have music sync switched off.
Following on from that am I right to assume that music sync with this addon is still problematic? I would like to have a single central library to look after rather than multiples but not it’s going to cause issues.

Thanks so much for any help.
Glad you’re enjoying PKC
Music is NOT problematic if you’re using direct paths. In most cases, it should also work fine with addon paths (the log file will be full of errors though).
Having said that, if you sync Plex’ music once then choose to stop synching, you’d loose:
The Plex count how many times you listened to a song (PKC won’t tell anymore)
Using Plex Web, you won’t see that you’re playing music using Kodi
If you add new items to the music libraries, they won’t show up on Kodi
If you delete items in your music libraries, they will remain visible in Kodi
Sorry if this is a known issue but I’ve been away from PKC for a bit. Is there any reason PKC won’t install on a Nvidia Shield running SPMC Jarvis 16.7?
I can install the repository but the plugin itself comes up as incomparable?
Has something changed since I’ve been away?
Update: Oddly, the act of enabling debugging in Kodi allowed me to install the plugin. I was however not able to do it through the repository. I had to download and install locally.
