Anyone else not seeing 2.5 beta (or 2.5.x) in the Update list? Latest for me is 2.4.10.
2.5.0 seems to be really unstable.

PKC 2.5+ broke Kodi for me now and exits soon as it’s launched. My last backup was 5 months ago and I made alot of changes since then. Hopefully I can recover somehow~
That’s the risk of using the beta, very sorry 
. Please downgrade PKC to 2.4.x. Don’t forget to downgrad the 2 PKC helper addons “plugin.video.plexkodiconnect.movies” and “plugin.video.plexkodiconnect.tvshows” to 2.0.5! Then simply reset the DB in the PKC settings under Advanced

My fault for not backing up regularly. I was able to recover by simply leaving out all the .xml files in /userdata/. Something in there must have gotten corrupted.
Reverted back to 2.4 for now. Thanks.

^ if this is necessary, this is a major problem for me. I don’t want to leave my device on 24/7, even if it is low powered.
Yup, same issue here. Full initial sync on reboot makes it very difficult. This must certainly be a bug?
2.51 completely broke everything for me.
I got a “detected kodi database needs to be recreated for this version” message and when I click yes I got a disk I/O error message.
I installed the official Plex plug-in and everything works fine there, so it’s not a problem with my server. I’ll try to post the logs later. Would downgrading work for me in the mean time?
Downgrading always works - be sure to also downgrade the 2 helper addons (see post above).
Remember this is a beta version. I just need to test some stuff sometimes…
Feature request: Can you include the movie year when the screen is paused. This works when the movie doesn’t have any title artwork for the top left corner. Or is that’s not possible an option to turn off that movie title artwork?
No sorry. That is up to the skin you’re using. PKC provides the data. The year is present in the Kodi db, otherwise you would never see the year
Forgive me if this has already been covered (I did a lot of searching, but couldn’t find anything), but I had a question about force transcoding. Is there any way to preserve the audio track? Every time a video needs transcoding, PKC tells PMS to transcode it to stereo. It would be awesome to just transcode the video, but keep the DTS, DD, etc stream intact.

Hi, first off thanks for all your efforts. I have a quick question. Does PKC support playlists? I am wanting to make a couple of playlists that will play random episodes, for example cartoons or sitcoms. If not, do you have any suggestions that won’t interfere with PKC? I tried LazyTV the other day and it made a mess of things. Thanks.
I’m using PKC 2.4.9 and Kodi 17.6 on a Shield.

Yes, PKC supports synching of playlists from Kodi to Plex and vice versa. But only “non-smart” ones.

@croneter did you happen to see my post from the other day asking about synced playlist video not playing unless invoked from the “start for PMS” context menu?
I saw the kodi wikis about playlists, curious to know if the non-smart ones I created in Plex on the web app are supposed to show up in PKC. When I open the PKC main menu, the playlist item is empty. Am I misunderstanding how it is supposed to work?
This is a Kodi limitation. For video playlists, you need to navigate to VIDEO addons, then PKC, playlists. For audio playlists, navigate to MUSIC, addons, pkc
