It takes literally 5 seconds to check. I’m telling you how to fix it.
Use the Kodi context menu (“C” button) on the PlexKodiConnect repository. Choose update
Thanks again, everything has been updated and now it starts and works as it should
KODI Crashes
So here is my kodi log. I am bothered with constant crashes only when PKC is installed. Hopefully someone can help. Log
Nope, sorry, nothing suspicious in the logs PKC-wise.
You are using Android though, this might be the issue as Kodi is not that stable on Android yet. I do have 2 different Android devices here, both running fine.
Nothing I can do here, sorry. You might want to take this to the Kodi forum & the Kodi bug tracker
Alright thanks croneter , i`ll look at the kodi forums. What is weird is thou kodi runs fine when PKC is not installed.
Btw, what do the error from log tell you ? " Like this one …“ERROR: DoWork - Direct texture file loading failed for androidapp://sources/apps/com.plexapp.android.png”
Theoretically, an addon like PKC should not even be able to crash Kodi. Nothing I can do, sorry
Does anyone know if it’s possible to exclude a certain library/kind from the Movies library when using PKC.
I have a library with live concerts I don’t wan’t to show in the Movies library but still wan’t it in Kodi, what I have been trying so far is using the add-on “Library node editor” and tried playlist, tags, path does not contain Concerts but I never manage to remove it from the Movies library, I might think this could be a limitation when using PKC could someone confirm if this is the case, thanks…
If you’re on the beta branch yes it is now possible. I’ve excluded a bunch I don’t use.
If it’s a movie library, you didn’t exclude it right…
No, what you want is not possible. PKC synchs videos to either the Kodi Movie library or to the TV shows library. Where else would the live concerts show up, otherwise?
You can, however, use the PKC video nodes instead of the one single Kodi movie library. This separates all your different Plex libraries from each other. See here: Video Nodes and Skins · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
I would have used the method you linked to, I just wan’t to hide it in Movies library.
So if you wan’t to separate libraries you need to make all new sub-menues for all of them also right?

Yes, exactly
I’m having problems with multiple Kodi profiles.
Setup:
Profile 1 = parent profile - parent plex account
Profile 2 = kids profile - kids plex account
Before I could switch profiles and the corresponding plex account would load.
I just noticed it’s not working anymore. When I log off the profile and switch to the kids profile the plex user does not login.
Any clue whats been going on here?
Running v2.7.1 of PKC
Before I could switch profiles and the corresponding plex account would load.

Same issue here. I have 3 profiles and each loads a different plex profile. When I first launch Kodi all works. But if I logoff and back on again it doesn’t load the associated PKC profile.
It looks like at logoff its not stopping PKC and when you go to logon you get the ‘PKC service.py already started - exiting this instance’ in the log so it won’t load in the new profile.
Kodi: 17.6
PKC 2.7.1
Just adding a log. If I’m reading it right, looks like Kodi is killing the PKC service (line 482) as it didn’t shut down in 5s. Because of this it can’t clear the flag that is marking it as already running. So when logging back in, it thinks its still running (line 595).
@GavinCampbell
Exactly the same problem indeed.
Thanks for adding your logs.
I was on mobile yesterday and was not able to generate any logs.
@kb85
Are these other users also using PKC? Or another Plex app?
Edit - this might be related to the other issue just above your post. Try to switch users back and forth, that might help for now
I am the only user on my server using PKC. Others are using the Plex Kodi addon and various Smart TV native apps. It is happening irrespective of device.
I’ve tried switching accounts as suggested which doesn’t seem to have made a difference.
I’ll try and get some logs up when I get a chance, I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a setting I was missing as the server owner.
was missing as the server owner
In the PKC settings under Connection, did you enable I own this Plex Media Server? Then restart Kodi just to be sure
@croneter
Yes, I even disabled it to make sure that wasn’t what was causing problems but made no difference.
Hey Everyone,
Since I upgraded to 2.7.1 My library is empty. I have tried:
Picking the server again
Signing out and in
Rebuilding the database
And even reset plexKidiConnect
Any ideas before I try to post the logs? I am not sure how to do that when I moved to LibreELEC
Thanks
