Yes of course! In the PKC settings under Advanced, choose Reset the Kodi database, then Yes, then No
Thanks–I’ll try to get a bug report going tomorrow.
Hehe, you apparently already knew the problem as from version 2.9.4 it works again.
edit: it’s still there only happends when finishing songs instead of forwarding them… Where do I upload the log?
Ok, new issue started. The debug log is long because I wanted to try to capture whatever it is that makes PKC drop the info, and it takes about a half hour for it to happen after re-analyzing the plex library.
All in all, it’s nothing crippling, movies play just fine, but it bugs me that it’s not working as it used to. TIA.
I’ve been having an issue the past few weeks and am just getting around to asking about it. While I can see the TV Shows I have downloaded in Kodi using Plexkodiconnect, I can no longer see the actual episodes. Using the default skin. Tried with Kodi 18.3 and 19 Alpha, on multiple devices. Episodes show up fine in the Plex app, just not with Plexkodiconnect on any of my devices. Have also rebuilt my DB, completely removed/readded, and reinstalled Kodi from scratch. Is something wrong with my Plex database? Any suggestions before I go grabbing logs? Not sure what version it started with but am now on 2.9.4. Thanks
That’s caused by a very unfortunate Plex configuration. Please see the link above for a quick solution
Oh man that’s funny. Had a feeling I’d seen the same issue before. Thanks for the reminder!
Hi
Since the butchering of PMP I can see a lot of people looking at PlexKodiConnect!
Set it up last night for the first time, together with the Embuary Skin (the closest to a Plex skin, but better IMHO). Initial impressions are really good, thank you!
Am I the only one experiencing REALLY slow exit from movie or tv show when pressing Stop?
That’s a Kodi issue and has definitely nothing to do with PKC. Once Kodi knows what to play, it’s all up to Kodi
Hi All,
I’m stumped and not sure how to configure multiple Movie libraries.
Here’s how I’ve got PMS setup, I’ve got PMS installed on a Mac. I’ve got my media stored on a NAS. I have separate SMB mount points configured for each library type on the NAS,
\Movies\
\Music Videos\
\Music\
\TV\
The first is for regular Movies the second for Concerts, MTV style music videos, etc.
I’m using Direct Paths in PKC. The Movies, Music and TV libraries all work great but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to add the Music Videos library to Kodi and PKC. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Ken
I know that direct paths are difficult to setup…
do you have your music videos setup as a dedicated Plex movie library? Then you can
- either do this: Option 2 Substitute Paths on the PMS · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
- or move your movie and music video folder to a new, dedicated, shared folder e.g. ‘/videos/’
- or create a new shared folder e.g. ‘/videos/’ that contains 2 symlinks to both movies and music videos
Point the 2 PMS movie libraries to the new location in the last 2 cases
Cool, I’ll give these a try. Thx much.
I keep information like 3D, ATMOS, BluRay, Kids etc, in the Plex Sharing -> Labels field.
I do use this for the kids sharing, but also allowing a quick filtering of movie types in all the Plex clients.
Does this field go into Kodi somewhere to allow filtering or searching on it?
If not, is there somewhere else I can put this information that will allow that?
Thanks A.
Hi Croneter,
firstly thanks for your plugin, It has been working well for me the past 6 months.
My question is why does the advancedsettings.xml setting for cleanonupdate need to be false?
When I attempt to set this to true the plugin reboots kodi and resets it.
I also have TV recordings that I inject into the video library and this works seamlessly with PlexKodiConnect but I would like to run cleanonupdate. Cleaning the library does not seem to harm PlexKodiConnect library items in any way so I am wondering why this setting is being forced?
Can there be an option to disable this (with a warning use at own risk) if there is a concern on losing library data?
Thanks again,
JC.
No, these sharing labels are not synched to Kodi - there is no corresponding “field” on the Kodi side of things. You should only use these labels for sharing purposes, i.e. allowing/disallowing other Plex users to access the corresponding content.
There are many, many ways to tinker with Kodi in order to e.g. display only 3d movies. Have a look at the Kodi forums and “Kodi smart playlists” to get started
Cheers, Thanks Croneter
Firstly, thanks so much for this addon PKC. I am struggling to find any information around direct paths where you have multiple hard drives for a given library i.e F:\Movies #1 D:\Movies #2 S:\Movies #3 and so on. I have yet to see any documentation on this sort of scenario. It seems majority of people have nas servers or similar that is allowing you to use multiple hard drives as 1 logical drive. I know with ‘direct paths’ you are essentially just needing to mirror Plex’s hard drive paths. How would you configure PKC when you have multiple hard drive locations for 1 library like movies? PKC only has one folder path for each library - movies, tv shows etc
Also, would it be possible to map drive paths, instead of switching my libraries to SMB locations. If I do need to switch I would lose hours and hours of cover art matching and changes (the library would need to be re-populated using the new SMB paths).
Apologies if this has been answered somewhere, I have searched through the thread and can’t find an answer.
The “On Deck” widget within the Kodi Video library is only there for Movies. for TV Shows “On Deck” I have to drill down into the PKC addon (which is slower).
Have I missed something?
TIA
