I had something similar last week, but I don’t recall seeing the error message. I checked my Plex logs and the database was corrupt so I had to restore it from a backup.
That means that your Kodi database is wrecked, unfortunately. Best to delete it entirely and start from scratch.
Hi,
I’m having an artwork hickup.
I use artwork beef for all artwork (except poster and fanart) and also to save the artwork on disk next to my movies.
I’ve noticed it does not work anymore. Sadly, I have no idea since when…
When forcing an update in artwork beef for a specific movie added by PKC, I get the following error:
2020-10-29 20:13:03.013 T:3448 NOTICE: [script.artwork.beef] No web service IDs available, can’t look up online: movie ‘2 Guns’
When doing the same thing on a movie added manually from the same samba share (using TMDB or universal scraper to add metadata) it works without issues.
When looking at the FAQ of artwork beef it means an ID is missing from a scraper.
Any idea if PKC could add this ID to the metadata?
Or should I try to find a tool which adds NFO files to my media?
Thanks in advance
Edit the Plex library. Under Advanced, change the agent to “Plex Movies (Legacy)”. You will probably have the rescan the metadata on the Plex side. Then try again with artwork beef
Thank you!
So it’s on the Plex side… That’s a bummer.
Changelog
version 2.12.4 (beta only):
- Hopefully fix freeze during sync: Don’t assign multiple sets/collections for a specific movie
- Support metadata provider ids (e.g. for IMDB) for the new Plex Movie Agent
Does anybody have problem with external subtitles offset. No matter how much offset I set ( delay or ahead) nothing happens…?
Thank you for your hep !
Subtitles are entirely up to Kodi.
Except if you transcode a video and tell Plex to burn the subtitles into the videostream. Then Kodi can’t control the offset of that subtitles, obviously
Skip intro being low priority has to be the weirdest take in this entire thread. Not sure how a feature so beloved be in a low priority. That other mod is inferior to pkc in every way but it has skip intro and that alone is a reason to switch
Hi Croneter,
I am using PlexKodiConnect for a couple of days now but see some strange behaviour. When ever i start playing a video with kodi i see that on app.plex.tv that the selected subtitles is changed automatically to off but the subtitle is correctly showed in kodi also the second time when the subtitle is set to Off on app.plex.tv… Also dutch subtitles are showed in kodi as “Unknown - Nederlands (SRT External)”. Do you have any idea what is happening here?
Kind Regards,
Platje
Yes - PKC tries to tell the PMS what Kodi is doing. Which is quite a pain to implement as you can e.g. Download your own new subtitles on the Kodi side
. There’s something off regarding the subtitle mechanism.
Since this is basically just cosmetics, fixing this is low priority. I hope you understand
i’ve found a bug that seems connected to the skip intro feature (or lack of)
at the end of the intro a couple of seconds into the main video it skips about a second on windows 10.
It now does this on most shows that have a intro that can be skipped and it’s normally right when people start talking.
This makes it unusable as even rewinding gets another skip (this time in a slightly different place by a few milliseconds.)
At first i blamed my media then kodi but it’s only PKC that is affected.
If you can deal with slower version of pkc you can try the other mod that supports intro skip until pkc decides to include it. Otherwise good luck trying to de-analyze your media
What’s that called?
I might give it a go.
Thanks
Outch! Direct paths would solve the problem. I’m very sorry to tell you that I can’t do anything on the PKC side - it’s entirely up to Kodi to play the video and Plex to stream it. This is a PMS issue, kindly take it up with the Plex team
Okay thanks
Looking at the features request. It seems skip intro is most requested. Are you still not planning on it ? I dont mean to be demanding as I appreciate pkc and your efforts
Hi Croneter,
Thanks for your reaction.
The only frustrating thing is when you want to watch an episode further on Plex Web or other plex application that the subtitle is turned off, and you have to enable the subtitle by hand again.
Is that something you can fix that PlexKodiConnect doesnt turn the subtitle off automatically when you watched something.
Kind Regards,
Platje
@croneter : Is PlexKodiConnect compatible with Kodi 18.9?
Yes, PlexKodiConnect is compatible with Kodi 18.9!
