So Video nodes worked great and library is now sorted, however it seems that there’s also a problem when sorting a movie that starts with “The”
This is how it’s sorted in the Plex app (The Grudge for example)
But somehow, Kodi doesn’t seem to know what to do and ignore the Sorting title, in the case of the Grudge, it ends up being sorted in the G (Same applies for the other movies that starts with “The”)
Updating metadata / try rename it doesn’t seems to do anything, maybe it’s from the Plex side, it’s weird, other content I’ve renamed works, except the one that contains “The”
Interesting thing is, you can change the display title, it works, but the Sorting title that contains “the” is ignored for some odd reasons
In Kodi, navigate to Settings, Media, General. Enable or disable “Ignore Articles when sorting”
For better and faster experiance I do NFS mount of my NAS multimedia on system boot.
So i have them “localy”, let say at /storage/multimedia.
Is it correct if i replace pats with /storage/multimedia/… instead of smb://…
Thanks!
Update:
It’s work!
No need to add full path but only the diference between Plex library path and network/local patth.
Example: if the Plex path is: /somedir/somedir/Multimedia/shows in my case the direct path is /storage/Multimedia
Yes, that worked, thanks a lot !
Hi, I installed everything on a Firestick Lite. On first iteration, the install from the beta repository did not go through (one of the dependent installs failed). Then went through the add-on menu to install both dependencies and then PKC. Went fine.
Only bug I have found (might be purely on my side, but wanted to report anyhow) is that the moment I try and play a 4K movie (my other stick with Kodi 18 is a 4K one) then it crashes KODI.
I have then set in PKC the transcode on i.e. to 1080p 40Mbps and it tries to play, but still crashed out. Did a full reset of the settings, but to no avail.
Aware that it is not yet in supported mode.

Is it possible to use trailers from Plex server instead of youtube from the extended info in Kodi?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, and surely that has been asked before, but I’ve just installed PKC and I would like to see how can I see my Live TV airings from kodi, am I missing something? I can just see fine my libraries, but I cannot find where to see Live TV, and I see on this thread people are watching it…
I hope I FINALLY fixed a bug where Plex home users were suddenly seeing content from other users and/or playstate progress reports were sent for the wrong user. Fingers crossed…

Hi,
I am trying to use plexamp to cast to PlexKodiConnect device but unsuccessfully.
With the Plex app everything works just as expected.
Is it happen only with my setup or it is by “design”?
Thanks!
This is a nice one
version 3.0.4 for Kodi Matrix
Hmm, nope, should work. Unfortunately, I’m not using plexamp. Kindly open a new issue on Github and share your DEBUG Kodi log file according to How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub
Hi and tenks for your replay.
I am not sure that the log will show you the problem because PlexKodiConnect device is not showup at all in Plexamp (android phone) app.
Issue confirmed. I opened a new Github issue to track it: PlexKodiConnect does not show up as a casting target for Plexamp · Issue #1292 · croneter/PlexKodiConnect · GitHub

OK folks, first of all i want to say that PlexKodiConnect is the best Kodi implementation for Plex.
I want to say thanks and to send my best wishes to @croneter for his great work and his eforts to keep the project alive.
Now about the “skip intro” funcionality. I have spent some time to investigate the implementation possibilities with PlexKodiConnect and i dont believe it is posible to be done with the current PKC approach at all. Anyway I realy hope I am wrong and I keep my fingers crosed so to @croneter to have succsess in the end of the day.
For the moment my workaround to have “skip intro” for the TV Shows together with PlexKodiConnect as main Plex integration with Kodi is to use Composite plugin by the Team Kodi Member “anxdpanic” for TV Shows only.
BTW, Composite is also don’t shows up as a renderer to Plexamp app.
