Hmm, I am getting some real oddities when attempting to play TV episodes. For instance, I attempting to play an episode of Misfit Garage and it played Bomb It a documentary about graffiti. So I did a full database reset and rescanned everything. Then attempted to play the same episode and it played Bone Tomahawk a movie with Kurt Russell. Very strange. I also tried another episode of a completely different TV show and it also started a random movie. This is on version 1.1.2 and SPMC on Nvidia Shield TV.
I have been using PKC for weeks now and that was never a problem.
Do you have the Video Extras plugin installed? Try disabling
Try completely disabling plex trailers
However this works out - please send me a PM with your logs!
Since all TV sections and Movie sections seem to be mixed together, is there any way (in a future update) you can pick up which specific Plex TV/Movie sections are synced overe? That would be really helpful.
My Plex setup has separate TV a and Movie sections, for each family member. But Kodi is mainly used by one family member (me), so I would like to ignore all the family member sections…

You can already do that by using a Kodi skin where you can change the homescreen shortcuts to point to the PKC video nodes.
This is done differently in every skin. For Aeon Nox, see e.g. https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-make-your-own-kodi-build/ (search for “Select Infoline” and start from there)
Anyone willing to finally make a PKC Wiki where this is explained?

3. Still no multi-server which makes it semi unusable for people with multiple servers.
I already asked this a few days before, but you seem to have a lot on your todo list already.
I have 2 Servers and would like to connect them to my Pi. Switching the LogIn/Server and re-syncing everything is a bit of a hassle.
Is there anything we could do to help you here? Wouldn’t it be sufficient to keep the metadata and “only” update new items?
Ok, looks like I figured out why my TV shows were playing random movies. It is due to the same issue others have mentioned about TV shows showing movie information instead of TV Show information. I had it set to always open Movie Information on click, thus when I would then choose play it would start the movie instead of the episode. If I set it to allow me to choose either Play or Movie Information when I choose Play it plays the episode as expected. I thought it might have been the ExtendedInfo add-on but I disabled it and it didn’t change anything. Running 1.1.2 on SPMC on Nvidia Shield TV.
Hi croneter, great work on this plugin. It’s been working perfectly for me till the recent 1.1.2 version. When switching home users it looks like some watched statuses are not properly being updated. I’m seeing a mishmash of the current users tv deck items and older items from the admin Plex users deck.
I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin and deleting the existing emby, movie and music db’s and then doing a full refresh, but I’m getting the same results. It wasn’t occurring on 1.0.1.7. My library is decently large, around 3800 movies, 300 tv shows and 25000 music tracks. Could that be an issue?
I don’t switch users, but I’ve also noticed that sometimes when I finish watching an episode and it’s marked as watched, the watched status doesn’t seem to make it to the plex server. It’s a bit hit or miss. If I manually mark the watched episode as unwatched and then watched again, it usually fixes that problem.
Thank you for your work, I couldn’t make PleXBMC work on my install but PKC works like a charm. Incidentally after much tweaking and skin changing I came to the conclusion that, for the moment, I like OpenPHT more than Kodi as a client, but I needed PKC to do this evaluation
I use your addon with Kodi v17. I’ve noticed, that my music library is syncronized, but I “see” no titles. Only artists and albums, but if I go into an album, it’s empty.
Had tested this with 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 on Raspberry Pi 2 (OpenELEC) and Mac OS X

Can anybody explain what the following means (from the 1.1.2 release-notes):
* Redirect /Extras calls by e.g. Video Extras plugin
I already got the Video Extras plugin and would loge to be able to acces my special features.
It means that PKC redirects ONE call from Video Extras that ends in ‘/Extras’. In my case, Video Extras still tries to ‘scan’ the rest of my library, resulting in random movies/shows starting.
Hang on tight, I will get in touch with the Video Extras guys

Is it suppose to rescan the whole tv-show when a new episode is added? I think mine does that…
Does the Kodi log say so? It should not do that, but the Kodi screen should ‘flicker’ quickly while Kodi (NOT PKC) rescans the video library in order to pick up on the new item

Music is still really buggy and a PITA. If that changes, I will let you know in the Changelog

Unfortunately, that is a Kodi bug (not ExtendedInfo). This ‘Information Screen’ for both movies and TV shows/episodes is a bit of a hassle

Again: rewriting PKC to be able to connect to several PMS will be a major PITA. Your idea won’t work.
Pull requests on github are always welcome to help out a poor programmer
I’m a little bit new with this addon. I wonder, why Plex movie collections aren’t synced to Kodi ones. Is this known or only on Kodi v17? Or isn’t it implemented? Also the “watched” status for the movies. It seems not synced - but for tv series. A thing with Kodi v17?
