Can somebody please tell me if the trailer function (ofc by using a plex pass) is working without any issues?
Thanks.

A little confused on what you are asking but to get the collection poster, just browse to it and select it, I have done this and it works perfect for posters but no fanart. If this isn’t what you mean then my apologies
You got it right, but the problem is “just browse to it” means going into the thumbnails folder of Kodi and hunting through hundreds of numerically named files. And, On android the Kodi folder is a hidden folder so you can’t even navigate to it.
I could create my own folder and collect my own posters & fanart and repeat this on each kodi box but that seems to defeat the point of using PKC.

Ahh i see what you mean
yeah i just created a folder on the plex server and put in the collection posters in it, I’m only using 2 kodi boxes so its not a big deal.
I think im85288 was looking into getting PKC to retrieve them from fanart tv

Finally, PKC notices correctly if you’ve changed a movie’s or tv episode’s filename!##Changelog##
version 1.2.2
- Fix filename change recognition for episodes and movies - finally! If you experienced this, you will have to manually reset the Kodi database in the PKC settings
- Fix PKC resume points set way too high
- Clarify that transcode settings are TARGET quality
I am having some issues with this version not marking videos as watched but instead gives a resume point of 1 second. This is happening when I skip to close to the end of an episode. I reset the database twice.
Thanks @Deihmos, here is the fix
##Changelog##
version 1.2.3
I’m getting unsupported version of kodi error now. It wont run at all now. Running the latest Milhouse libreELEC builds. Anyway around this? Or can you remove this check?

As always, please share your kodi log files (see How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub). Kodi 17 should be supported by PKC

Of course trailers work without any issues, IF you have a Plex Pass ![]()

Just starting to look at this, can anyone tell me if I need to manually create my collections/sets in Plex? Coming from Emby this was done automatically and will be a pain in the… to do manually

You don’t need to do that, PKC already has that functionality. Only pics are missing for sets ;-).
Might have to enable the set view somewhere in the kodi settings (not PKC). Or even reset your db if you haven’t done that since 1.1.x ![]()

Didn’t know that, just got done the other day making them all in Plex ![]()

Well, PKC just takes over the existing sets of plex. So no worries if you were working on the plex side, that effort is not lost ![]()

I couldn’t get plex itself to automatically create the collections in the first place, did some googling and all I could find was a little tutorial on how to create my own collections…which I have done now and they are appearing in PKC (no artwork yet). With Emby though that initial set/collection creation is done automatically saving having to group all hobbit movies together for example…I kind of expected plex would do the same…will be a pain having to manually add new movies to collections!
Anyway I have enough of a setup to start looking at the artwork for collections ![]()

Having Plex make the sets like Emby or Kodi is one of the top 10 requests, been like that for a while though so not holding my breath ![]()
Was extremely happy when Cronter added it to PKC
Thanks for looking into getting the collection artwork to possibly work.
Good news guys…set artwork is now retrieving!
It will also grab logos/banners etc
@croneter - pull request sent to development branch ![]()

PKC creates movie sets/collections automatically? This doesn’t seem to be working on my end. I have version 1.2.3 and sets enabled in Kodi but the only sets visible are the ones Kodi created from my non-Plex media. Is there an option within PKC that I need to enable or something? I also rebuilt my database and no luck.

You need to access them via the PKC Movie node. If you go to Video/Video Addons/PKC, there will be a node called Movies (with the Plex icon), within that is a “collections” node I believe.

That’s only 20% of the movie sets feature (a simple filter on all movies to show only the ones with a collection tag).
What does your PMS tell you if you visit a set? Here an example for the Bourne movies. Notice the “Collections” Tag - that should correspond to Kodi sets.

No it does not, please see the previous discussion on this. PKC will only create sets when you have specified on your plex server that they are part of a collection (as shown above)
See here for more details on creation: support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201273953-Collections
