PKC creates movie sets/collections automatically? This doesn’t seem to be working on my end. I have version 1.2.3 and sets enabled in Kodi but the only sets visible are the ones Kodi created from my non-Plex media. Is there an option within PKC that I need to enable or something? I also rebuilt my database and no luck.
You need to access them via the PKC Movie node. If you go to Video/Video Addons/PKC, there will be a node called Movies (with the Plex icon), within that is a “collections” node I believe.
When I look inside of that node it lists: New tag…, Movies. but no generated collections/sets.
Edit: Whoops, sorry guys. I didn’t see the other comments!
@croneter running the latest Krypton Nightly, I receive a notification before the sync run can start (once setup instructions have been followed) …
‘PKC is cancelling the database sync process. Current Kodi version is unsupported’
this is a completely new Kodi build and it’s the first time I have tried setting up direct paths, so not sure if it’s related… message also says to provide logs, so just wondering if this a known issue b4 doing so?

No it does not, please see the previous discussion on this. PKC will only create sets when you have specified on your plex server that they are part of a collection (as shown above)

thanks for all your hard work
I guess some version number changed. Please provide some logs…
Sorry about that guys, I was unaware that there was another topic on this from a few years back. Thanks for linking it. I managed to get plex to generate the movie collections via the TMDB scraper.
Also, and this may have been discussed before, but why not just select a movie using the context menu in Kodi and create a Kodi movie set with the Plex media? I tried that way and it worked at first glance unless there is a problem that the created movie set will face down the line that I am unaware of.

There is a huge problem with this - if you (or we the PKC developers) ever need to reset your kodi db, then all this work you have done within kodi will be gone. My advice: use the PMS for sets and collections

Anyone seeing problems with TV Shows “On Deck” and “Recently Added” widgets not updating with the latest PKC version (1.2.3)?
Widgets are very shaky and unreliable, which unfortunately doesn’t have anything to do with PKC. I, for example, need to navigate away and then back for a widget to update

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I’ve seen that before, but this is different. I can even remove the widget in skin settings and add it again and it’s still not updating (I also can’t mark as watched in On Deck/Recently Added). If I browse to the TV Show and find the episode, mark as watched works fine.
I’m using the latest fTV-Fred skin and I haven’t seen the problem before updating to 1.2.3.

Again, it’s most probably a Kodi or skin issue, unfortunately :-(. What happens if you’re not using widgets but browse to the video node, then to “On Deck” and “Recently Added”? Does that work as expected?

The “On Deck” via video node, >>> then to “On Deck” also has update reliability issues. If the episode I’m watching plays to the very end and come back then the “On Deck” will update, stop the episode near the end or if somebody watched on another device then no update. Reboot makes it update.
“Recently Added” looks to be similar and not updating.
(1.2.3 PKC) This is not new to 1.2.3 but back to 1.1.x when set via video node
I also have the added annoyance that every time I modify the widgets the titan skin is unable to populate the on deck, recently added, and have to reboot the cubox.
I was playing around with a few different skins yesterday and noticed that I cant get my home screen widgets to display posters for TV shows. All I get is a distorted thumbnail of the video. I remember this happening way back when with an earlier build of PKC. Anyone else having this issue? I tried both Aeon Nox, Aeon Nox Silvo and FTV.

This is with PKC 1.2.3 and Kodi Jarvis 16.1
Try Video → PlexKodiConnect → Reset Video Nodes and Playlists. That might help.

Yeah tried that with no luck. Strangely my main setup in my living room using Titan skin is fine updated to 1.2.3. Not sure if I removed the widget then re-added it if the issue would show up but I don’t want to risk it. These issues are from a test machine I use so I don’t completely mess up the family box.
Update: tried switching to Titan skin on this test setup and posters show normally. @croneter I know you use Titan as as a skin, has something changed recently that would make poster widget view only work on Titan and break for all other skins? I know Titans poster view is somewhat different than others (“small posters”).

Nope, no change I could think of. Have you tried the usual routine by completely resetting PKC?
Is it possible that PKC is not updating the Last Watched tab of PlexPy when a show is completed? It’s logged when playing as “Kodi” but never as a completed show in Last Watched. If I use the Plex app on the same device it’s working.

That didnt help. This is one of the first times ive had the Fanart.tv feature enabled. Could that have anything to do with it?

It’s a skin problem if everything worked flawlessly when you switched skins

PKC surely never will be updating PlexPy. PKC works with Plex/PMS and Kodi only. Try asking the PlexPy guys
