As I’m sure a lot of you are aware, TVDB and TMDB treat some shows differently. This issue is compounded by Sonarr only respecting TVDB’s structure, but complicating auto-tracking with Trakt that only respects TMDB’s structure.
Case in point: Temptation Island. The new Netflix season is season 6 on TVDB (and thus Sonarr), but is season 1 on TMDB.
I created a .plexmatch file in the Season 6 folder on my server with the following information:
tmdbid: 285273
season: 1
ep: 1: Temptation Island - S06E01 - Bring on the Temptation.mkv
ep: 2: Temptation Island - S06E02 - Testing the Waters.mkv
Here’s where it gets interesting:
Plex matches episode 2 with all the correct info from TMDB, but not episode 1 (or any other episode, but details limited to not blow this up any more).
XML from episode 2 includes
Guid id=“imdb://tt36132899”/>
Guid id=“tmdb://6009629”/>
Guid id=“tvdb://11113767”/>
XML from episode 1 includes:
Guid id=“tvdb://11113766”/>
Anyone have suggestions on why only episode 2 is being respected to match correctly?
