Plex match issues (naming and thetvdb are correct)

Server Version#: 1.20.2.3402

More Plex matching fun. Not sure why I struggle with this so often.

Show: Team Umizoomi
TheTVDB Show ID 145951

Example episode (but there are more wrong): S03E17 Let’s Play Math Dragons

This episode shows up as “Lost and Found Toys” which is S03E16

Here is the XML.

It is clearly matching with TheTVDB, detecting the correct season and episode number and then fetching the wrong title and description. Why?

I’ve tried matching with imdb (which is also correct) and it does the same thing. I’ve tried the “Plex Dance”.

Just tested and I get the right episode. Maybe try clearing out the agent cache, Clearing Plugin/Channel/Agent HTTP Caches | Plex Support.

Thanks MovieFan, I really appreciate the quick reply (the 4 year old was losing his mind :-P).

Unfortunately, no dice.
I tried moving the files out, rescanning, deleting the trash, cleaning the bundles and then deleting the cache.
Then I moved the files back in and rescanned. Same thing.

I did notice this afterwards:

That shows the “Date Added” as “2 Months Ago”. So something is sticking around. I also am surprised that when I download the logs after doing this, I don’t seem to find the phase “Umizoomi” in them (or I’m searching them poorly).

Are you just Plex Dancing the 1 file or the entire show? If it’s the entire show, is this the only show in the library? If so, that won’t work. You need to leave at least 1 file in the folder that the library points to. it can be any file, but there must be a file.

I have been dancing the whole show folder.

The library has several dozen other shows in it.

A little more info. I was searching poorly. So “Umizoomi” does appear in the caches. Interesting, it is from “themoviedb” despite having selected thetvdb.

Got it! (I think)

In the Agents settings for “Shows” I had themoviedb above thetvdb.

Apparently, this was overriding the actual selection I made when I chose the match.

AND I was looking at IMDB, not TMDb to see what it was on “The Movie Database”. TMDb is incorrect (and the source of the problem).

So, not sure why this agents setting was overriding the actual selection for the show, but that seems to be what the problem was.
