I get it, but suggesting that people go spend more money is not that great of a suggestion. Even if it is only $4 a month (times however many PlexPasses are needed), money is money, and not everyone has extra. I definitely feel that the devs deserve it, but not everyone can afford that.
And so, as is our human right, we shall repeatedly state our interest, in hope that someone listens to us, so that we don't have to use workarounds that cost us extra cash-money. It seems that you are also exercising your right to repeatedly tell us that it can't be done now, and we can use a workaround, but no hard feelings :-)

You do understand they are not just going to say "hey here is a lifetime plexpass membership account and any other account you create under this account is free of charge" right?
if they do, people would just create a bunch of account and sell them to other as discounted price LOL. I would love plex ten times more if they just give away stuff.

What if they limit the number of accounts you can make. For example you can only create 5 or 10 accounts under your PlexPass account. Just an idea.
1 Plex Pass account allows you a couple of Plex Pass LOCAL only accounts? Then when you started Plex you can opt to login as Master User, or Child User A/B/C like the PS3/Consoles

Anyway i am done with this topic. I was trying to help by telling people this feature is not available yet but its only fair to be added when the other features are implemented. But for the mean time this is what they can do to mitigate the limitation of the software for the time being but all over sudden i became a "jerk". There are enough people in this forum who has real problem and would like a solution NOW so i will go head and reply back to my private messages.

As I read through more of these multi-user threads, I begin to wonder if multiple MyPlex accounts is really the proper approach in all cases? Parental controls is one theme that crops up. But also quick switching... and almost none of the clients (well, maybe web) is particularly handy to switch myplex accounts. Could it be that's actually a different feature altogether for multi-user households under one myplex account? Dunno... just thinking out loud. :)
I think that there needs to be some sort of family plan for PlexPass. The big one is to manage what my kids watch. I know that is probably part of parental controls. I would be willing to pay more for a family plan but like everyone else i don't have tons of money. I have never been good coming up with a pricing model or limits but i think maybe paying a little more per child would be an option that way you can add more kids as they come around.
I'm going to read the fast user switching posts now as that is something else that is needed. I look forward to seeing these new features.
i have been able to share with non plexpass members and as long as they are outside my local network they are able to both use pht or the plex/web interface. they dont have sync but they can watch and it gives each id its own watched unwatches thing
and am able to filter out sections of things i dont want them seeing
so set up a myplex id
then sign out and back into plex/web with the account that u use with plexpass then go under servers and share it with the id that u just set up and choose the sections u wanna share.
sign out then loginto the new myplex id and accept the share.
its not perfect but it works and yeah cant use pht but it does work
i have been able to set up 6 different ids that are able to sign in and watch with no problem
the guys over at plex are amazing and what they have done in the last 6 months is NOTHING short o AMAZING and so far i havnt seen ANYTHING that comes close to what they have done
i know u need to make money and I WANT you to do that god knows you work hard. but how about not tieing all these extras to a myplex id and more tied into each server is used. have basic non extras be free like it is then if user with server wants to offer muti user sync or multi user sign in then charge for that.
plexpass should be tied to what each server can do not to the myplex id.
so u will still make money of the upgraded servers and still charge for the mobile apps
the way your doing it now prevents me from trying to get more users to use plex since they have to pay a monthy fee to use it. and i think its gonna chase off your most loyal users
so charge for the mobile apps and charge for each of the pms's that have want to do more than basic home server. myplex id shouldnt be paying for extras the person running the server should
